Sam Smith is talking up the possibility of this swap in the Chicago Tribune. It seems like Wallace is definately on the way out (New York is apparently his prefered destination) and i think Kirilenko would be a decent fit with the Bulls although it may leave them with a bit of a hole at the C position.

You would think that id they make this move it may lead to Thomas, Nocioni or one of the other 4's being moved in another deal.

The guy is an absolute knob. No other writer throws up more bs rumours. Utah supposedly knocked back Marion at the start of the season, now they're going to accept Ben Wallace?

Plus it's not as if Chicago needs any more offensively-limited players.

Yeah Smith is an interesting cat (just real The Jordan Rules). Knocking back Marion made sense though as he has a much bigger cap number than Wallace and given Deron Williams is going to cost them max money this is an issue.

Wallace is a a little cheaper than Kirilenko so i can see why Utah might pull the trigger given AK47 wants out of town.

I don't have the exact numbers for Wallace, but I thought it was 60M/4years. Marion is on 15M this year with a player option for 17M next year. If anything Marion would seem to be the cheaper option. Plus he's a far, far better player.

I agree that they might look to get some cap relief (and a high pick) for Kirilenko, but Wallace is on the books for another 2 years iirc, so I don't see how he helps.

Btw, I don't think AK even wants out anymore from what I've read.

Wallace for Q-Rich, Malik Rose and Fred Jones was the deal I heard with NY.

And if the Kirilenko deal goes down, if I was Steve Kerr, I'd be all over Tyrus Thomas.

He could easily be the next Shawn Marion (albeit with less of an outside game).

They could offer their 1st round pick (Atlanta's which they get this season), and something else.

The Bulls could then pacakge 2 1st rounders for something possibly.

The deals for the three main players are as follows

Wallace - 2 years (after this season) remaining at 14.5mil & 14mil
Marion - 1 year at 17.1mil
Kirilenko - 3 years at 15mil, 16.4mil & 17.8mil.
