By not starting Foley off in the guts because of rumours that Collingwood were seriously targeting him means that he was outcoached by Malthouse even before the first bounce.

That starting group in the guts was begging for a belting and there it was..... doesnt matter what you do afterwards the damage is done. And to have senior players put in half arsed efforts just goes to show what they think of the jumper. Get players in there that have pride and have dignity - something we have not had in years.
