Walker will play 2's next week possibly (thank god) give him 2 weeks then in, and for Warnock he should play two's for as long as possible as imo he needs to prove himself first, he isn't a walk up start liek Tex.

The worst hing that could happen is he turns out to be another Cameron Wood...so he needs to prove skill, ruck work and that he isn't an injury waiting to happen.

Dropping.....get Bentley out next week...actually leave him at Perth airport. Russell was good tonight :D

Talked with Walker late this week. Ready to go. Should play VFL next week. I really can't wait until he is in our 22. Looking very lean and fit. 1/2 weeks in Ants and should be perfect for a call up.

Warnock should be ready in our 22 when we get into the finals. It will be good because we will have him in the ruck and Kruze in the forward-line.

I miss Waite... :(:(:(:(

Bullants have the bye next weekend, next game is at VISY on the 19th June. Hopefully this means that he will only spend 1 week in the Bullants before coming into the side.

 Shhhhhh ;)

these 2 fully fit would be invaluable to us, walker will bring us a lot of run and carry and warnock will provide some good tap work, he and hammo can rotate theruck duties and kruezer can play a more permanent role up forward cos he can take a god solid contested mark, still a cpl of weeks away i would think cos they have to prob come back via the 2s

for anyone who has been here before - god i want to see walker have a crack - good player - been saying this for - ever

:DWalker will be in for round 17 against Collingwood and Warnock will be in for round 19 against Geelong.:)

Just posting to remind people that I'm driving the Walker bandwagon and have been for years (shouldn't have let go off the wheel when professing your love for Setanta, AWG ;)).

And don't think anyone can take it from me - I'll risk tooth, nail, blood and bones (likely yours) to keep it!

All aboard!

Warnock and Walker are 2 likely inclusions in the next couple of weeks.
Who gets the axe though?
What drug you take, can i have some.Warnock been out all year, had no pre season and Walker been out injured for nearly 4 months. It probably take Walker 3 games at least at the bullants level or even more to get fit playing VFL at first with the injury he had.

Robbie Warnock you probably only see him make the last couple of game before the finals, but probably won't get a game this year with 8 games left.

I know this is a weird question to ask right now, considering the big fella is yet to play a game for us.
But was Warnock, in your mind.. at the time. Worth what we gave up? (high pick and plenty of $$)

I hope he is, i've seen him play about 1 minute of football all together and he smashed brendan goddard so i like what i've seen.
But i want some info, even just a link to another thread would be alright.
Or just a summary of your opinions on him.
What can he do? what cant he? etc.

Cheers

I've watched a lot of Freo games on Fox in the past and have seen him in 5-6 games. Really liked what I saw for a young developing ruckman. If he has put on the 10kg and can still run, I think we have a great pickup for pick 24. A 206cm tap ruckman will allow Judd/Murphy to take complete control in the middle with setups/structures - these guys are intelligent and will make full use of Warnock, something they cant quite do with Kruezer due to cms.

It will also free up Kruezer to a fwd pocket or CHF.

Warnock injury free 100% represents another completed piece in the jigsaw!

Thanks guys,

Usefull info.

Keep it coming if anyone else has some good knowledge.

I'm very excited to see him.

Also pretty happy with Hampson's development.

Especially that goal he kicked against Collingwood :thumbsu:

fisher out for warnock, krueze into the forward line.

any number of players out for walker, bentley or armfield in the current team. would depend on where he plays mid/forward/back.

Walker on brink of return for Blues
Carlton general manager of football operations, Steven Icke, said yesterday Walker was expected to resume for the Northern Bullants in the middle of the month, and he was optimistic Walker would make a return to the Blues senior line-up early in August.

"He may have played this weekend, but our VFL team has a bye which is unfortunate timing, so July 19 is the day we expect him to resume," Icke said.
"Athletically, he's up there with the best in the club, but it will be his game conditioning which will be in question.

"You would think he would need a couple of weeks to regain his confidence, especially in marking and physical contact and all of that, which will be his toughest test."
After two stress fractures in his foot this year, the 206-centimetre Warnock is also close to resuming in the VFL, possibly on the same day as Walker, according to Icke.

Warnock, 22, has not played since round 17 last year for the Dockers as then he required shoulder surgery.

"His is more of a conditioning situation because he hasn't been able to put weight on his foot," Icke said. "How soon he will play his first game for us will depend on how quickly he comes to hand, but we're expecting him to make a run towards the end of the season."
