Any diehards out there with any news on how Warnock went today?

Gee, looking forward to him playing, will release Kruezer up forward, and Carlos to the backline.

Hammer is developing well, still lacks a little confidence with his marking, kicking and decision making, but the lad is coming on in leaps and bounds as a new comer to the game

Will we see Warnock before the finals? if so, it could change out structure significantly and if Tex can find some form. We could be bit of a finals wild card with a couple of X factors that not many sides have come up against

making the finals would be goal achieved for the year, winning a final would be a signicant bonus for 2010 and beyond :thumbsu:

Saw Warnock today at Preston. He got throught the game, and was sharing ruck duties with Jacobs. Won a lot of taps and did move nicely around the ground, but definitely is a fair way away with his match fitness, he appeared to run out of gas quite quickly. Sam Jacobs is probably closer to getting a game than Warnock.

Cheers, maybe more 2 weeks with the ants for warnock then if all is well a run against the dees??

however, no need to rush the boy, must keep him fit and healthy

Warnock would be too risky to play at the business end of the season. bringing him in could jeopardize our finals hopes and aspirations. better off leaving him out til next season.

For future reference keep an eye on the threads about the Bullants

sensational, I think the MC have a plan to play him this year if his fitness holds up
hopefully he hasn't bulked up too much, he did cover the ground well at freo and it would be important that he can still do that and importantly his legs can carry the extra muscle bulk

plenty to be excited about despite the drop in recent form, in a way it takes the lime light away and lets us go about our business without the usual headline grabbing fanfare
if we find out form and confidence, get some better team balance, we can win a final
need to find extra run in the midfield to take the pressure off our backline, we lack a skillful attacking halfback with waite out and stevo and scotland struggling
also need an extra big forward, hopefully carlos and kruez and the smallman brigade, eddie and the gartlett/yarran duo to step up and take the heat off fev

I am failing to see a logical explanation for this comment.

its simple . most of the players have played together for most of the year. bringing Warnock in and playing him a key position will upset the balance of the current squad. And would prolly cost some player that's been there all season a shot at the finals. he hasn't played for so long. it would be a bad idea and would cost us the finals. its common sence mate. we got the side to win games now and can go further in the finals. you upset that balance we might be left with egg on our face. play him next year im sure he wont mind he getting paid enough to sit around and do nothing.

^ Yep, agree. Keep him as an option for finals incase something happens to Kreuz or Hammer (god forbid) but otherwise it would be unfair for him to play finals on both the current squad and him, you can't just get thrown into that type on game as your first game in a lonnnng time. Keep him fresh (and uninjured) for next year when we can structure with him in the mix.
