Watching TV through IPad

hey guys I know there's Apply TV i can get to link the IPad to the TV but just wondering if there are any other cheaper methods/cables I can use do this?

HDMI cord and a HDMI adapter for iPad. Does the trick quite well.

If I have foxtel go on the iPad, can I get it on the bedroom tv with Apple TV or the cord mentioned above?

id like to know the same, I have the hdmi adapter. The iPad works fine on the tv with everything but Foxtel Go. I only get sound with Foxtel Go on the tv.

Foxtel go and apple tv will only give you sound, no picture.

I have a question re Foxtel Go, I'm a subscriber of Foxtel, can I use Foxtel go if I travel overseas?
