Water restrictions

Well, up here in Bendgio we have started on level 2 water restrictions today. It ****ed me off sometimes when you see some people abusing the banning on watering thier lawns under level 1 restrictions outside of the days and times that they were allowed. Hopefully a lot of these buggers will now stop watering them altogether like they should and not worry about how their lawn will look.
There's a lot of people doing it tough like the farmers, etc and here they are worrying about such a little thing as the way their lawn looks.
Interesting thing is that we will have no water at all in about 66 weeks if people continue to use water at their current rate of consumption here in Bendigo.
Do the right thing and conserve water.

In Sydney at the moment the water restrictions are still "voluntary", which means that the sort of people who wash down pathways and roofs etc and water their gardens during the heat of the day get away with it.
While our dams continue to empty.

I once had someone try to tell me that hosing down your driveway was "economical."

Reasoning? If you used a manual method like a broom you would get tired more quickly and go inside to have a drink, thus consuming water anyway.

My sister lives next to people who hose their driveway twice a day, apparently many people have asked them to perhaps use a broom if they're that keen to keep their driveway clean yet they still use the hose and needlessly wash away 1000+ litres of water each week.

Stupid, Ignorant Arseholes, people like them. The Water Board should just block their water supply.
