You are all missing the point. To be successful Essendon needs Watson and Stanton to compliment each other as part of a successful midfiled rotation. Watson in and under with stants providng the running through the lines with delivery to forwards. To compare them doesn't make sense.

There is alot to like about Stanton and Watson but comparing them is like comparing apples to oranges, Both different players with different roles.
If I had to choose one though Watson is it, He has great clearance ability can handball and mark and has a great motor. Once he gets his kicking confidence up he will be a bigger gun then stanton
