Possibility of debuting this week. Any earlier predictions for their SC form? Anyone seen much of these guys?

I think SC has screwed us by putting Naitanui in as a ruck, but Watts as a fwd might be OK.

Current price;

Watts - $174k
Naitanui - $169k

Thinking Watts may get a start on my bench if he shows a bit in hus first two games...

don't expect miracles from taller first year players.

let them be. i don't think it would be necessary to get them in unless they perform muston like, which you wouldn't expect these guys too.

I'd be surprised if either is worth a spot in a SC team this year, as both are longer-term prospects and being managed as such. Not to mention the high opening price. Watts maybe, but I'd still say unlikely.

Looking forward to seeing 'em in action, though!

I would hold onto Watts making his debut this week. According to Herald Sun there were 2 people with swine flu at his high school. If there is any doubt he will be isolated from the rest of the players.

Natanui in the ruck is absolute gold mate. I have Cox and MacIntosh so if you trade Natanui into your side as an emergency you won't ever have to worry as barring injury he will play every game as WCE will need to drive their youth. If he shows a bit I will definitely put him in as a 3rd ruck as I have Meesen and Spencer as my bench players and neither will play games this year again.

Wow I'm impressed you have enough trades left to warrant bringing in a backup ruckman just in case Cox or HMac get injured. I think most people's trades could be better used elsewhere...

Nobody has enough trades mate. My team is pretty much final after next weeks trades and bringing in Natanui would leave me with 4 trades left:o:o but only Grimes as someone I want to upgrade (though he might be a keeper.. I have great playing emergencies in all of my lines except for Hogan (though Cats were talking him up this week). My only weakness is ruck emergencies as I have Meesen and Spencer. I got hurt big time last year with a ruck going down and me wearing the donuts as I had a similar situation with non playing emergencies. There is always news about Cox being injured every week (this week it was official but he is playing though his calf complaint.....god love him:D:D) and if he misses a lot of us would be wearing donuts. If Natanui plays OK in his first 2 games then I will pick him up before his price change and have him sitting on the bench as piece of mind.

....or you could hold onto the trade as piece of mind. If Cox gets injured (not going to happen..'knocks on wood') you can bring in Sandi, Jolly etc. Much better than NicNat. Plus if Cox doesn't get injured (going to happen thank you SC gods) you have an extra trade. Massive Bonus!

The only question you need to ask is 'can I avoid temptation and hold onto that trade?'.

I know what you are saying but what about if Cox goes down for 2-3 games with his troublesome calf? Would you trade him out? Then you would have to spend another trade getting him back in as he is by far the best ruck. I would much prefer to get Natanui's 50s and keep Cox. It's tricky. In a way I hope natanui will suck and only get 20s so I can feel good about not getting him and holding onto the trade.

Understand where you are coming from but I think it is very different now that we are nearly half way through the season. If Cox went down for 3 weeks in Rnd 14-16 thats a 3rd of the remaining season. I always believe that closer to the end of the year short term injuries become a bigger issue as they represent a higher % of the remaining year and remaining potential points.

I just like the flexibility that saved trade would give but its that balance of flexibility V security that you will decide on. Having said that I paid the extra for White at the start of the year and that 30k investment has been worthwhile...if nothing else to help me sleep at night after another week "cox is injured" discussions.

NicNat will be a star. If you get him I hope he tears it up for ya but you never need him!:thumbsu:
