Nick Davis was traded to the Swans for the draft pick we used to get Nixon.

Nixon was traded to the hawks for the draft pick we used for Morrison.

And in any case,

Consistency even with injuries... Morrison > Davis > Nixon...

In talent terms, Davis >>>>> Morrison > Nixon (hasnt proved much)

Yeah it's really only Nixon out, he was headed for delistment anyway.

Yes but he was only one of 2-3 who were "on the list". Russell seems a bit more like the fat assed wombat type we are looking to avoid. Egan is hopefully more a Wells type than a Hodge type.

Egan was second behind Tambling for the last 10m in the 20m sprint. He's fast!

I'm sure that we were well keen on Russell, but it's hard to know who we were more interested in. Carlton were a chance to pick Egan and we might have got Russell. Maybe we were indifferent!

Who knows, but I'm happy with our new "pace & skills" recruiting ethic.

Nixon will not be a loss. Morrison is an OK player. And if we were indifferent to picking up Egan or Russell, then yeah, we got Morrison for nothing.

Let's hope we get Carrots for nothing too, and it'll be a good trading period.
