The Tigers Of Old had plenty and won plenty of Flags.

Teams Today that have Enforcers are winning or are close to winning Premeirships.

BRISBANE: Michael Voss, Brad Scott, Chris Scott, Jonathan Brown, Alastair Lynch, Justin Leppitsch.
KANGAROOS: Glenn Archer, Byron Pickett, Mick Martyn.
ESSENDON: Mark Johnson, Paul Barnard, Jason Johnson,
Dean Solomon.
PORT ADELAIDE: Matthew Primus, Josh Carr, Damien Hardwick.
TIGERS: Greg Stafford (We have only one).

Enforcers welcome the physical challenges, and the longer the game goes the more obvious it becomes they can not and will not be physically intimidated.
The Toughness can not be manufactured it must be REAL.
Enforcers don't try to be intimidating, they just ARE.
They will not stand by and allow one of the younger players, or a receiver type, of the team, to be bullied. It gives the rest of the side the confidence/safety factor, to go about their tasks in winning the game.

So IMO, we not only need a Hard in-and-under mid-fielder but also a Skillfull and physically imposing Enforcer.

Ty Zantuck's a player who doesn't take any crap. Even if they're bigger than him.....

:p Go Ty Kick His A*se :p

Yes Ty is getting there, given this is first full season.
But does he scare/intimidate/put fear into the opposition ?

He's gotta learn to bump better. That hit on Walker was never going to hurt - just a mere blood nose!

What he has to do is learn to plant both feet before impact and push. This is exactly what makes Byron Pickett (a midget) so effective.

If Ty does this this only once to a bigger player and sends him to Disneyland, he will find himself with some newfound respect through the competition.

Had to laugh at 3AW's commentary on Friday night!

Robert Walls said something like "They don't want to tackle Stafford - too scared of those elbows!"

Who would have though - someone wearing the #10 guernsey at Richmond with dangerous elbows!

Ray Hall can put it about a bit. I'd like to see him bulk up a bit.

He has got a bit bigger though. I remember him as a 14 year old at Woy Woy - never seen such skinny arms & legs in such a good player.
