The best assistant coaches are ones I’ve never heard of.

Not potting the guys coming in. They might be genuinely good. But let's be honest. Considering the supposed plan was "keep vossy and surround him by the best assistants", this collective line up is pretty uninspiring.

Seems that we are restructured and moved guys around rather then overhauling the coaching group. Plus lost Power and Ebert from development which was our strongest area last year.

In fairness, Wright is only human. We are in no position to attract the best given our current circumstances, but this should have been forseeable when the decision was made to keep Vossy. Hopefully we factored it in when making that call.

Cannot create an A team around a guy that is walking a tight rope for his future.
The only name that seems an upgrade is Fraser but from outside how can we judge.
None of the names we were hoping for have come in and seems that we as a club may be treading water if Vossy doesn’t go on a big winning run.

Russell has experience as a VFL senior coach as well, so between the two of them they should be able to get plenty done through the week.

This is a much better use of Russell's skill set, but I want to see more skills acquisition training... who was working with the Irish boys and the Campo twins on their kicking this year? I remember seeing footage.

Believe he wants in more of mindset & performance type of role, so a little different to the run of the mill position usually offered, or just a different type of development/mentor.

Yes. GW setting MV up to fail so we can clear the way for a real coaching group in 2027. This is my thinking along with a few others with contacts in the industry.
