McKenzie has been close to if not actually Port's best `tall' defender since he has been at Alberton, in a better defence with another genuine tall kpd to take the gorillas he would have been more regularly matched up on the oppos 2nd or even 3rd tall, and if that had been the case I suspect he would have been even more valuable to the team so like no doubt many I'm happy with his contract extension.

I'm going to write for the thumbs down on this one.

He's played as well as he can this year but needs to be Paxmaned for us to have a better chance of winning.

Like Jonas, can be burnt on the lead and that never plays well in September.

The idea that Moose has plenty left in the tank is batguano crazy.

Kicked 7 goals from full back in the SANFL in 2019. Here are 3 examples of when he pushes up.

Kicked a ripper against Freo in the pre season last year too. He can kick them pretty much as well as Farrell, he's just always on the last line so rarely gets the chance.

Trent McKenzie (Port Adelaide)
Teams are screaming out for reliable, ready-made key defenders and Port Adelaide now has a surplus thanks to their work in the trade period. Someone like a North Melbourne would be a perfect home for McKenzie, who wouldn’t be a long-term solution, obviously, but could at least make them more competitive this year. Collingwood could also use the depth given the question marks around Nathan Murphy.

Why on earth would we trade McKenzie mid season. 1 injury and he’s in. Clurey would be the one to go.

If he went to North mid season he'd probably win their best and fairest.
