To be honest i couldnt give a stuff what Caro says. Usually the same about Mike Sheehan but i actually agreed with most of what he wrote in his article on Saturday.

Last year, Geelong were 2-3 after a shocking 2006 and were not seen as a serious threat and were, in some quarters, a laughing stock.
Any calls on them at that time would have been very pre-mature, similiarly Kangaroos last year.

The problem with this comparison is that both of these clubs have a pretty decent record over the last couple of decades of playing finals. Its a bit harder to feel positive about our chances as tiges fan in any season. We have just got more to prove to the footballing world than any club, fact.

Its been a tough gig being a tiges fan, but all the crap will make it so much sweeter when we are serious force again, and it looks like we're finally turning the corner.

Think they are both ordinary Journos, but definitely some truth in both articles.

THey talk about Freo not being much chop etc, but one thing i do know they were more of a chop than us and we made them look second rate at Subi, on the bog ground, with them paying 1.12 and us write your own ticket. We made the tankers look second rate too. Like its got me baffled.

Pretty funny actually, i concede that-for a total flog.

I have been simply requesting for caro to name the board members she thinks should go and who don't contribute( as demanded in her article).
It's akin to saying lets get rid fo four players who don't contribute but then not naming them.

If you ever needed anymore proof that Caroline Wilson is a joke look no further than Monday night on Footy classified when she tried to blame "selective editing" on when she called Ben Holland amongst other things a useless footballer the previous week.

There would have been 15 other clubs more than happy to have Ben Holland on there list at the end of 2001 who has been a shadow off the player he could have been after injuring his knee

Its all just part of the tranformation process. Anyone who thought that after appointing Wallace for 5 years hence the road ahead would be paved with rose petals was delusional. We needed to effect drastic change and that was always going to be like pulling teeth but necessary for genuine improvement. Calls for Wallace's sacking and dismantling of the Board, footy dept and pie stand come with the territory that encompasses that process. Just ask Bomber Thompson.
What is tough to take is that a proud club like us were such shit that it is going to take a minimum of 5 years to turn around, realistically more like 8. Until then we are a soft target for the journos and anyone else who wants to fire a bullet or two. If the same sacking calls dont come 3 more times in the next 18 months I'd be shocked. I've stopped looking for success because thats a pipedream right now, just want consistent improvement.

Now how do you go from that in the space of a week to the Freo game, where we were flat for about 5 minutes in the 3rd and dominated every other minute.

It just doesnt happen because the coaching staff took note dude. They have been taking notes for the last 4 years and the notes have been piling up with the same ____ing stuff. Get real they took note....thats BS

I don't understand why journos get carried away with having past players involved with management of a football club ie on the board, at committee levels, coaching etc. IMO this has nothing to do with success of a club. Look at Geelong. Caro in particular has been critical of this from richmonds perspective.

My view is we have the best, most experienced people in charge of areas they have knowledge about, not past players who have passion but are probably clueless about how to run a club.

We already have past players in mentoring roles and IMO that's enough.

It pisses me off when the 'experts' stick the knife in to richmond and think its hard hitting informative journalism. We know we've been crap, so does the rest of the footy world. Its really not too difficult to churn a few paragraphs or talk shite on the radio/tv for 5 mins about the f**kin obvious.

What would be interesteing is to hear some positves or some kind of solution when we're struggling, rather than the same old reactive sack the coach or the cultures been shite bollocks - easy answer and we know!! I read bigfooty because actually respect some opinions more than most of the media...

Still agree with some of what was written but doesn't take a genius to get a few negative points right about the team that finished bottom last year.

Gee, can't wait to read caro and mikes analysis of how good our players and culture are when we finish top four next year, tossers...

Ben Holland was, is and always has been a useless footballer. Prick held us to ransom after his one decent season and is now suing for his pound of flesh. Caro got it spot on. She's right to have a pot at the board and the culture too. One win doesn't change that. You have to ask why Sheedy, Malthouse and the likes leave and never come back.
