May I post in your forum?

Well played Saints, it was a great season and you guys went so much further than just about anyone foresaw. There is a load of talent there so hopefully you'll be at it again next year.

Grant Thomas has definitely become a coach, I never thought he would (and I'm not Robinson Crusoe there) but I was wrong.

Its a shame they couldn't go the next step and get some experience in the GF. It may not be much consolation but let me tell you it doesn't do you much good to get into a Granny you can't really win. We got smashed last year and it sent us into a tailspin.

The Saints look set for some success soon, keep up the good work. (Hopefully a Pies Saints Granny next year!).

What a magnificent game. Your guys put their heart and soul into it and there will be no stopping you next year.
We all knew you had the skilled players but last night you showed that you have got what it takes.
If you had been able to keep up your momentum after the Big G's 100 it might have been a different story, and injuries started to tell in the final quarter, but you never gave up. It was a privelige to watch such a firecely contested game, and you will be the powerhouse of the future.
What a champion is Robert Harvey, he must have gone through the pain barrier many times and he still kept going.
As a Lions supporter who has seen his team play some great games, I dips my lid to you.

To all Saints fans, congratulations on the way your side played last night. How my team won is still beyond me. You thrashed us in almost all the areas of the game that are usually so pivotal to teams winning.
You have some terrific individual players.
As much as Mark Williams' comments about Nick Riewoldt were questioned as being mindgames (they may have been), your man will be the best player in the competition in years to come IMO, and my side is going to have to unearth a brilliant defender to keep him honest - something none of our tall backs could do last night.

Your midfield was incredible in being able to work the ball clear from stoppages. As brilliant as Harvey and Hayes were, I was really impressed with Black - he hurt us badly. Luke Ball is also a class act.

So without patronizing, let me once again congratulate you on performing so admirably all season, including all but one of your three finals games. You have alot to look forward to.

Congrats Saints. We were lucky to fall over the line. Robert Harvey never ceases to amaze me. All the best for 2005, I'm sure you'll be up there again, along with the cats.

Thanks for your kind words folks.

I was proud of how we played the game, but with hindsight (I haven't had the benefit of looking at the replay) I suspect that we didn't capitalise on our opportunities adequately. In writing that I'm not meaning to take anything away from Port, they fought hard & deserved their win.

This years final series has provided some good lessons for us & now it's time to go away & make the most of those lessons for the future.

Finally I'm happy that GT was able to establish his credability over the last 2 matches. Without doubt he's copped a huge amount of crap over the last 3+ years & whilst that might be somewhat deserved I hope that his recent efforts go some way to minimising the invective that is thrown at him.

Let me add my congratulations too. A great game, certainly no walkover for whoever won it. Your midfield and the way you carried the ball forward were most impressive. You didn't let us play our game.

Thanx to all u guys from other clubs As one who was there u can not imagine how heartbroken I am Both sides had a red hot go and unforunately there can be only 1 winner Next year we hope to go all the way with some luck and lots of hard work
