I'm sure not a great surprise to anybody, but I watched the Box Hill game on Saturday and one player we have been talking about lately had a good game....That's right match committee, BRETT JOHNSON (remember the name) actually played footy on Saturday, compared to the very half-hearted effort our supposed 'seniors' played. Jonno had the silky skills, he spun his way around 3 opponents before clearing the ball out of defence, he kicked what Phil Cleary described as the best kick a left footer could kick at goal, he attacked the footy (a rarity compared to some on Friday night) and as usual, had his silky skills that would clear the ball out of a pack situation quickly. Yet, somehow, this kid isn't good enough for the seniors. Cox had a great game too, he would be pressing for selection, as well as Timmy Hazell; very strong marks and crashing the packs....Something we are currently lacking in our forward line.

Surely there would be positions on offer this week to give these players a go.....C'mon Schwabby, it's time to clean out the old (you all know players I'm talking about) and in with the new; the future.

My sister actually proposed the question on Saturday upon hearing the comfortable win by Box Hill......Did the match committee mix up the team lists?? Judging these latest decisions made by the match committee, I wouldn't be surprised.;)

I was at Preston to watch Box Hill and to be honest i don't think Brett Johnson' game warrants a senior re-call this week. His first 3 qtr's were VERY average. His final qtr was great but i'd want to see him do more before he gets another game. I didn't think that he should've been dropped either but Peter Schwab knows best, he's obviously doing something wrong. Johnno will be back in the seniors soon, but not this week.
