Western Bulldogs VFL team sign English player

Sam Willat from the North London Lions has been signed to Footscray in the VFL. He has come over to try his luck and done well. All the best to him. So, if we keep seeing a growing number of players making it onto state league team lists, how long to someone makes it to an AFL team from overseas under there own steam, and not through a combine.

Would love to see some one learn and develop their game overseas make it to an AFL list based on footy talent. Might be a game changer.

Josip Habljak is playing for Sturt and he came over late last year from Croatia so there is a trend of this happening
