AFL Club
Richmond
I fully expect Daniel Jackson to play close to 22 games in 2009. This may be in part because he's one of my favourite players, but also I believe he embodies prototype for the modern day midfielder, by which I mean 188cm+, built like a tank and can run all day. He's the Jordan Lewis, Scott Pendlebury, Patrick Dangerfield, Tom Swift type of player, which is where the game is heading. Every teams needs one, and he's our only one. Plus he has the added bonus of being one of the most damaging kicks in our side when he wants to be. Will be a vital asset is '09. Forget Meyer or Polo being next year's Kel Moore, Jacko is where it's at. Just needs a little bit more confidence, as did Kel, and he'll be seriously effective. Get on it!

He's very under rated as a negating player too. I like him because of his versatility. Can play up forward, center, mid, wherever. Couple more years and he'll be a solid contributor.

May yet still be delisted. I wouldn't be upset if he was.
Like JON has just been in NT as an ambassador for the club, so I really can't see either of them going. Let's not forget he is a highly intelligent, articulate and grounded man. These guys are valuable, may rub off on The Steamer and others eventually.

Whatever. His performance of the football field is all I care about.

Oh really? That's the exact attitude that tore West Coast premiership team apart and ****ed up their club culture. Don't get me wrong, good footabllers >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>good blokes, but it's still important.

Sure, but I'd take WC philosophies over Richmond's philosophies any day. Their list will over take ours in the next 2 years.

Go support them, then. :thumbsd:

not unless they draft the next Judd and Ben cousins at draft time, what part of the 100pt hiding we dished them out inspired that rubbish...Your nothing but a %^#$%knuckle shit stirrer beav, I don't even think you believe the shit you come out with. WC have holes all over the ground...when you consider that Glass and Lynch are their two best KPP and Priddis is their best midfielder with a couple of toilers in selwood next up, they have got a looooong way to go...if you had any brains at all you'd realise that Cousins/Judd and Kerr underpinned their era of success, the rest is a pile of shit with the odd diamond in the rough

really needs to step up next year if we are going to have a say and have teams fear us come september

Yeh course he is - he went to my school:thumbsu: Which is partly why I like him but he is going to be a good player - Martin Pike-ish

Jacko stepped up in the last month of the season. Someone obviously had a word with him. His decision making is a little slow, but 99% of the time makes the right decisions. I think he'll make it and be a valuable asset to our midfield.

Does anyone think he could be the answer to our back-pocket problems?

jackson= slow, dumb, poor vision, etc..........

bulk and grunt isnt enough to cover those factors
ect..... i guess that means all you could think of. jackson is needed in the team for his bulk. we cant play a team of skinny kids. if he doesnt play a min of 15 games next year(exept out with injury) he should be delisted:thumbsu:

jackson can have all the desire and grunt in the world. The bottom line is he cant consisantly play AFL seniors because he cant play the game well enough to win his own footy.

His decision making by hand and foot are appalling. cannot get around opponents and freezes like a deer in the headlight when confronted with the ball.

If jackson is in our 22 just because of his physical size then god help us!

He is not in the best 22 for pure football talent. not even in the top 30.
