What about Clive?

Is Clive any chance of actually playing some games this year?

Last weekend I watched our first win over the Eagles, Rd 16 1999. I know it was 3 years ago, but Clive tore them apart. If he comes back anywhere near this form he will be a force, and instead of getting the best defender, he will be getting the 3rd or 4th after they match up on Croad, Medhurst and J Longmuir.

Geez, I hope he fires this year.

Round 16 in 1999 was a great day for me. I got a ticket at the last moment through a mate. Seeing all those WC supporters suffering for the first time was pretty sweet, better even than watching Guy McKenna having an attack of apoplexy after the demolition derby.

CC's always said Clive was a big part of Freo's forward set up so if he stays fit he'll play and LOOKOUT opposition.

His 7 goal effort in the demo derby is almost forgotten thanks to Kicketty beating the crap out of Read, but that was an amazing performance, and he will do it again.

I won't be expecting a lot from Clive. Whatever he does will be a bonus. He could have a good season because of other players getting the best defenders, or he could struggle to come back from his reconstruction and not fit into the new forward line system. Time will tell.
