Circumstance no.1: Your neighbour approaches you and confides that he/she enjoys eating exotic meals, they further elaborate that one of their favourite dishes is human kidney pizza. They offer you 20 million dollars to buy one of your kidneys, as purchasing kidneys from the black market isn't always reliable.

Circumstance no.2: One of your class/work mates has shockingly been involved in a diving board accident, where he slipped upon bouncing and landing on the edge rendering both of his kidneys hopeless. The doctors say he will die unless one of his 8 compatible friends donate one of their ripe kidneys to him.

You belong to a family of 200, but only you are compatible with your aunts blood type, however a doctor speaks with you privately and informs you that he has a beaver kidney in his possession but will effectively work the same as a human's only with half the life span. Your aunt being already 45 yo means she should recieve an additional 30 years, thus something you don't have to worry about until then.
