I know the AFL is all about $ over footy

but there is always an overwealming support for State of Origin to return and they never do ? why ??????

coz the best players will never want to risk injury... it would be amazing if the sides that were selected played but the fact is that they wouldnt...

It's the same as international soccer.The clubs pay their wages but they can't stop them going to play for their nation if they are selected and want to go.They can get injured there but that is a risk they just have to take.Players enjoy playing for their countries because it makes them feel proud to be one of the best players of their nation.It would be exactly the same in State of Origin but rather than country it would be states.
