Just having major reno's to our house. From stripping and sealing floorboards, to repainting ceilings and walls. New furniture.......the works.
In the process, everything my wife, my kids and i have accumulated over the years, is in my shed for storage and assessment. As it's a new beginning as such, it's under scrutiny, either kept or tossed.
Now comes the hard part, we have been married for 18 years, and have collected some stuff for sure. I didn't think we could fit so much in a 20'x20' shed.
Just for a start, looking at my gear. I have a cricket bat that i used when i was playing for Whyalla as an under 15 and 17. The old Grey Nicholls Single Scoop. Signed by Greg Chappelli. Many sixes hit with that !
I also have newspapers that date back to the 90's and i have the last of the old big spread Advertiser and the first of the smaller version.
I also have newspapers from the Gold Coast and South Aus when we clicked over to the year 2000. I was on the Gold Coast that year
Newspapers from Aulbury, when my daughter played State Basketball.
Yada yada. As for my girls, they have mountains of stuff. Books, trophys, memorabillia, photo's, picture prints, makeup.
What do you keep, and what do you throw ? I can see a massive garage sale coming up.
Reno's. The renovating is the easy part
