Great minds, that was my first idea when I brainstormed and it's first on my list albeit not worded exactlyGot another one for you: What if Collingwood entered the SANFL in 1997 instead of Port in the AFL.
Addeddees stayed as the fushicas?
This'll be interesting, Addeddees stayed as the invincible whites?
A very interesting idea, I think this all would be more suited for a portfolio than a 1 time competition due to the domino effects and amount of kits to create eg. The VFL entrants, West Coast might have ended up with a different colour scheme etc. And for designing kits for the added teams, it would most likely be the same as their current kits at those times. Definitely look into making a portfolio to envision this timeline! The only part of this that would be great for a week long competition to design on would be West Coasts changed colours due to Williamstown being in the VFL, happy to add that one in if you likeWhat if Port Melbourne and Williamstown were invited to the VFL instead of Carlton and St.Kilda? How would that changed the course of history? -
1908 - University and Carlton join VFL.
1925 - Richmond, Footscray and Hawthorn(?) join VFL
1987 - West Coast colours?
And would North Melbourne dominate the VFA? And St.Kilda, would they be more successful in the VFA?
How long would Port Melbourne be the Boroughs before the name being outdated in the VFL/AFL comp?
mount gambier join the sanfl
Could be the start of a new rivalry, addedlimestone coast sanfl team
Sounds good though the creativity would be limited for me because most SANFL teams around the era before the 2 merged stuck with their 70's or 80's kits ever since or had a very slight change eg. Glenelg, West Adelaide, Sturt, North Adelaide (albeit reverted to their 70's kit) etc.woodville and west torrens never merged
