Why do opposition Key Forwards kick a swag of goals against us??? Franklin, Fevola, Pavlich all have day outs but against the other 15 teams dont kick as many.

Well those teams give their forwards as much service as they can get so they are bound to kick bags most weeks but they do better against Essendon because our midfield is not very good and they take advantage of that and get it in quick to the big guns. Fletch and co do a great job to minimalise their dominance.
It has been happening for decades.

Agree Merv. S.Rocca, A.Rocca, Carey, Hall just to name a few that killed our defenders in the past but they dont have the same impact against other teams. Even when we had a great mix of midfielders in the past forwards still kicked a swag.

This season, I don't think we're the only team that those three players have kicked bags against. Be glad that in the two matches against Carlton and this one against Fremantle, despite the big bag of goals, we still won.

We play a free flowing game, and back our forwards to be better in a more open game then their forwards.
On another topic, we missed Neagle big time today. The first half we just kept kicking it long and dirrect and every time they would float back and take a mark or pick it up under minamal pressure.
When he's there Lloyd and Lucas play up the ground and Neagle always gives us a contest if not takes a mark.
