The media this week have been asking the question about whether richmond will employ a superflood like against adelaide last year.

Did those people actually even watch the match? Richmond did NOT employ flood tactics, it was adelaide that flooded and refused to man up. We employed keepings off tactics.

Can you people get anything right?

Who cares mate....last week there was supposed to be a flood so immense that even Noah could not navigate it:rolleyes:

they are just trying to drum up some interest in the game for non Richmond/Crow supporters - well maybe supporters of those two clubs too:D . (I can't see how people would be attracted to a superflood...but anyway).

Great post, I am sick of the knobs in footy talking about this. Even Craig David has come out saying that he is expecting us to flood again. It was them that flooded and were too stupid to come and get the ball!!!! I just wish someone in the media had the balls to point this out to him. The problem is that Tiger bashing is the sport of the month, so balanced views are not put across.

I don't care what tactics we use I'd be happy with a flood that rains black and yellow and the game is played in life boats.......I just want to see an angry bunch of fellas out there and to hear the tiger ROAR!!

remember the footage of peel thunder in WA when Buddha hocking was their coach and they started at the centre bounce with all 18 players behind the ball and in defence!!! would be bloody funny if we see that tonight

Last year we went man on man for the first half and beat them at the stoppages, which let us build a small lead. We then went the extreme keepings off in the third quarter. When they eventually started to man up, we kept dropping another man back into defence until their forward line was completely cluttered. So you cold say we employed an extreme flood in the last quarter, but it wasn't throughout the part of the game the commentators keep talking about.

What amuses me more is that last week the commentators kept congratulating Plough for backing the team and not flooding, but no comment on Port who were getting numbers into their back half all night. Flooding apparently is only a bad thing when the worse teams do it, and is acceptable when the better teams do it.

This is the one thing that shits me more than anything. Its all from the Adelaide game last year which probably 90% of DH's who think we're going to flood (because of that Adelaide game) didn't even watch it. If they had of, they would have seen it was Adelaide who flooded, we simply played keepings off in the Backline (gee, and why were we able to kick it around our half of the ground i wonder?)

Now it seems whenever we play a half decent team like the Weagles, Port, Adelaide etc.. the media carrys on about whether we will employ the 'flooding tactics'. Shits me to tears. We would have to be one of the least flooding teams in the AFL.

Sometimes i wonder if we should start flooding more. The doggies do it beautifully... the amount of times they're able to rebound quickly off a turnover in the back line and rush it up to an open forward line is amazing. No wonder they flood every single game. But do i see the media on their back? Of course not because they're counter attacking footy is 'attractive' and exciting apparently...
