I know we won and thats great, but i still cant comprehend how we managed to get out of that with a win?

Facts being facts, if we play like that ever again, we'll get towelled up by 10 goals, by any other side than Brisbane.

And dont get me started on Brad Miller.....

Just be happy we won, past Melbourne sides would of not of come out with a win. I think its a good sign that we can still win playing badly.

Last time you won was when Richo was the leading possession getter with like 20 and as many marks yeh? was a ripping game. He towelled up Miller early and was then stuck with Fergy for the rest of the game who didn't have the strength or experience.

Couple of things about the game.

Firstly we won and if a side had got away to a start like that against us last year we wouldn't have we would have lost by 10 goals, so that is a positive.

Second we showed a maturity to slow the game down in the first quarter and not allow them to continue to play all over us that means that the players are thinking.

We played against a team that was fired up and were aware of our previous reputation as a soft team, they helped create it by belting us annually, so to withstand the onslaught and then to go on and win was a top effort.

Make no mistake they are a good side up there and they still have the core of their great side with some very good young players so I would suggest that we just be happy that we have got the points.

That is the type of football that we will be up against in the finals so we had better get used to it, we stop the easy games, if there are any, once the H& A finishes.
