What would happen to the lakers if kobe decided to opt out at the end of the season and move to the clippers or suns and paytons latest frustrations lead to him leaving at the end of the season. Well this mean karl malone will leave seeking a better equipt team leaving the lakers with just shaq and a team of duds around him. Would phil jackson be willing to come back if that was to happen.

What if... what if... What if the world was flat, would I be wearing Green Trousers instead of Blue???:D

It is all pointless speculation by Laker-haters, who cannot see the any light at the end of Laker dominated tunnel.:D

Get real people!!!!
Even when Shaq, Kobe, Karl, Gary and Phil leave, the Lakers will still win the Championship, because they are winners... winners... unlike Sacremento, Dallas, Indiana, New Jersey and co who have built their entire history on mediocrity, and failure to live up to any expectations.

The Lakers will provail for decades to come and their is nothing you people can do about it. So just live with it and bask in the gold and purple glory.:D :D :D

Go Lakers

P.S. This is an unbiased opinion by an unbiased Laker supporter.

Who gives a ferk, they're not even going to the WCF.

as much as i hate to say it... your right devo... it would take em a couple of years but they always seem to get a winning team together....

Doesnt really matter what Kobe does, the Lakers are a shadow of the team that won 3 rings. Shaq, GP and Malone are all really old. Malone is extremely close to retirement, GP is unhappy and despite what Shaq thinks, he wont play until he is 40. In fact he only probably has 2 or 3 productive years left.

The Lakers are in trouble. And this time there is no Jerry West to pick up the peices.

Jealousy by a Bulls supporter who will never see his team climb the mountain again. Outside those six seasons with his "airness", the Bulls history makes the Clippers look like winners.

I know this was the ABA, but.....

Indiana Pacers -

1967/68: Division Semi-Finals
1968/69: ABA Finals
1969/70: ABA Champions
1970/71: Division Finals
1971/72: ABA Champions
1972/73: ABA Champions
1973/74: Division Finals
1974/75: ABA Finals
1975/76: First Round

...and I guess you can throw in our trip to the 2000 NBA Finals where we took the Lakers to 6 games

...but then you guys will still say "but you haven't won an NBA Championship"...(just saving you guys some time ;) )

Yeah except there is no Jerry West to pick up the pieces any more. West is the best GM in the NBA and Memphis are beneficiaries of his good work. That will make the Grizzlies a powerhouse ina few years.

Denial by a Lakers supporter who knows damn well that this year is possibly the last year in quite some time that the Lakers will mount a serious challenge for the title.

West is at it again. He is currently in Belgrade to watch a few games over the weekend. I wonder who he is keeping an eye on. Whats type of player do you need phatandphreaky??????
