What's actually wrong ?

The game plan.

Playing with a five man forward line, when one of them is Mayne whose main focus is to chase people around and an old veteran who continues to be double tagged, is totally insane. The remaining three can hardly be described as guns, to make the strategy even worse.

When we add McCarthy and Bennell to Shane Yarran and not have Mayne, if we persist with the five man structure, It will be precisely the same outcome.

It is truly mind boggling.
I think the problem you have highlighted there is that we don't have players that want the ball and/or don't know how to run to space to get it. Bennell knows how to do that, Yarran knows how to do that, Walters knows how to do that. Mayne is a headless chook and Ballas can't get the ball and even if he does he turns it over or slips over.
We have too many players that don't provide options and when they do they provide the wrong ones.

Not true. Bulldogs and Crows are the some of the highest disposal teams in the AFL, Bulldogs are 1st.
If you look at their low scoring game , compare to the higher scoring game , the low scoring game got more disposal. Cant always take the whole season to compare sometime. Go and watch wb vs nM . Especially the close low scoring game.

Also your keyword they run it out. Freo player near to each other and stationery, cant handball or kick 15m -20m

Not their fault to be honest. Game plan is outdated and is too slow. The press gets set-up by the opposition and we kick it around trying to create space.

Hawthorn had the same problem against West Coast, that we've been having all year.

So your concentrating on 1 game out of their 21 so far this season? WB are the highest disposal team in the comp, I think that says it all regardless of whether they are scoring or not.

Well i get your opinion but i disagree with it . Just like you disagree with mine. Not a big problem.

Actually if he have the right people in that 5 man forward line. It makes a huge difference. Mccarthy and Tabs as talls. Yarran, Walters and ballantyne as smalls.

Then the 6th bloke as a rotating mid.

List management - we came into 2016 with the oldest list in the league. This lends itself to injury issues see NM who have the 2nd oldest list in the league. Many of our best players are past it or injury prone and we haven't done enough to replace them.

Forward line - agree with others that we persist with a 5 man forward line and no planB which IMO seems amateurish. The quality of our forwards is also very average. At this for 2016 Walters is our only quality, proven forward. Yaz looks promising but hasn't played a full season yet and there are question marks on everyone else. Mayne and Ballas should be moved on.

Our delivery into forward 50 is putrid. How long must we persist with D.Pearce lobbing moon balls to our short forwards before we wake up. Half our problems start with this. We give them the ball as we are pressed quite high and the slower members of our defense are exposed as we rush back.
