I agree. Another thing that irritates me is we are always on the receiving end of the general pushing and shoving that goes on. I know it isn't a big thing, but we seem so meek and submissive.
For a team that was coached by Woosha we played the least Woosha football ever. Even when we were dominant under Woosha we we're never in guys faces, always kinda took it.

The Barry Hall/Staker incident and the reaction of our players to Staker getting KO'ed comes to mind. Granted we were in a bit of turmoil off the field at that point, but you would expect a better reaction than shitting your pants in front of Barry Hall(Beau Waters gets a pass though). Was pretty embarrassing.

Had Baz done that to a player at any other team in the AFL, there would of been a full-scale melee.

In 2013 we were widely tipped to improve further and make it to the grand finals.
There's more than one?

I've been missing out all these years.

In 2014 having near full a near full strength team and struggling to make it into the top 8!?!?
The midfield isn't good enough. A lot of people got ahead of themselves and assumed it would be good enough to carry us to a flag. At least one drop scone even thought it would match the 2006 group. Ask flamingEMBERS and Obeanie1.

The fact that there wasn't an all out brawl is the biggest disgrace of all time. There should have been 18 guys going for that thug.

Something I noticed this weekend at the game, was how poorly our midfield defended the ball in transition. Constantly trailing their man, not moving to intercept or cut the angles, not adept at reading the play and very easily led away from the corridor which even a team like St Kilda could open up.

If St Kildas ball movement wasn't so average they would have beaten us, maybe easily.

Our mids are dumb, really dumb. Also the work rate seems to be way down, especially for guys like Masten.

I realise that we don't just need some larger, or more dynamic mids, but we need some smarter mids who can educate or lead the team as well.

I had a really good vantage point on L3 on the wing at Etihad and noticed this too.

Our midfield is horrible defensively.

We get ripped to shreds on the rebound!

Just rewatched the Suns and Cats game.

How the Suns youngsters stood up against a very physical team, and a top 4 contender like geelong is impressive. When challenged, they dug in harder and responded. Like it's already been said, our team is so damn meek and not hungry enough. Not hard enough right now and RARELY respond.

Collingwood this year I was gobsmacked, and the proudest I'd been in years. It was a whole new team out there (intensity wise)

I think we've all underrated the effect Kerr leaving has had on this team.

Too many guys getting games every week without worrying about getting dropped if they don't perform has given us a bunch of soft, downhill skiers who like to beat up on easy teams and go missing when the going gets tough unfortunately. It's hard to say that about a side that plays for a club that boasts names like McKenna, Kemp, Jackovich, Woosha, Cousins, Judd and Kerr as previous players. Unfortunately, Woosha had a fair bit to do with this malaise by constantly giving games to guys when they were out of form or didn't work hard enough just because they were his favourites. Everybody in the club needs to go back to putting the clubs best interests ahead of their own jobs, and make the club great again.

We dropped down the ladder in 2013, Swift retired at the end of 2012. Coincidence? I think not.

One thing I've noticed in press conferences from some of our 22-25 year olds is that we have a bunch of negative nancy pessimists. We don't really have these upbeat guys that seem to want the pressure. For this reason solely I don't want Scooter captain as he is just to down. We need someone with a bit of arrogance and positivity to lead us and lift the troops on the field.

I am thinking Scooter would be on the trade table? We have seen his best and we need to find much better.

Think back to when Franklin cleaned up Cousins who already had a sore back then, within 5 minutes Waters and Fletcher had demolished him in return. We did have that in the face ability when the team was at its best.

Fletcher couldn't demolish a sand castle.

I don't want Scooter captain either.

It's no wonder that my favourite player for the year has been Yeo.

For starters he's a breath of fresh air and hasn't been stagnating on our list for 5 years like some of the others. He has, and uses his pace when he plays. Something few other players do in our team. But most of all, he he shows aggression and immediately has an impact. He's a great 1 on 1 player and you can tell he hates losing a contest to somebody.

That's the difference between his attitude and the wiener patrol that we've currently got, sooking it up each week because somebody bumped them.
