Wrong recruitment strategies. Decided this year to go for some soft outside players who rack up cheap possies with the view they'd get through the full season and place some consistent scores. Tom Rockliff and Brett Deledio worked well, but then others like Aaron Davey and Shaun Higgins didn't.

Should have traded Zac Smith for Nathan Vardy for some cash when there was value to be had but was slow on the decision.

Brought in Jobe Watson instead of Sam Mitchell.

Oh well, next year :( I really should read the tips on this forum more

First donut of the year thanks to Birchall being dropped (Lower susp, Hibberd susp, Jacobs inj, Howard not picked)

Slight glimmer of hope as Howard is an emergency but i'm assuming i'll drop out of the top 10 and will probably cost me a league GF. Ah well it's been a fun ride.

i'm still in both my SC grandfinals, but... duffman. has had a stinker year. gone down so much that i could cash in other players before him and even now he's still in my team after birchall got dropped and i couldn't risk keeping gram instead. see also brad sheppard, smackernan.

best idea might have been using joel tippett as a mid-year downgrade (incidentally for tapscott's hammy, released petrie). can't say i planned that though.

DOWNERS
* Started the season with Michael Johnson, no idea why
* Carlton overload - brought Marc Murphy into my team with about 30 secs before cutoff at Rd. 1, despite already having Judd, Gibbs, Duigan and Yarran (although this hasn't been as costly as I thought it might have)
* Held onto Zac Smith for too long (in that I still have him, though not as a starter)
* Held onto Darling for too long as well but when I finally did upgrade him to Pav, he goes and does his hip against the Roos the next day
* Trading Brent Harvey in instead of Ablett because I wanted some extra cash, worked out OK but would love GAJ in there this week
* Not getting on Puopolo, Lower or Pederson
* Being left without trades for the final week

UPPERS
* Getting on Mzungu, Isaac Smith and Matt Suckling very early on
* Waiting until after his second bye (& trip to Arizona) to get Swan
* Being able to cope with Judd, Murphy and Gibbs on the bench last week to play in two GF's this week
* Being able to stay with Heppell all season long
* Mundy out (injured), Priddis in
* Staying strong and sticking with the No Trades Until Friday Arvo policy - was moments away from trading Heath Shaw in on a Thursday night, held firm until the next day when news came in he'd been suspended for eight weeks. A more relieved man you would not meet.

<---- there....
Haha nice. :thumbsu:

All went wrong for me from about round 19 onwards. Stefan Martin was my replacement for H.Shaw. The result: an average a tad over 60 with no score above 65 in the last 5 weeks.

I could've taken Bock and been like 50ppg better off but I was happy with my trade at the time so stand by my decision, just the result hasn't been too good.

Oh and trading Gram in last week didn't help...

Sure everyone has a story like that though.

Biggest problem l had was using all my trades and bringing in players ,who the following week were either suspended, injured or dropped. Used my last trade to bring in H. Shaw .Gees that hurt......

Bringing in Sam Mitchell for Judd last week as my last trade, instead of Ablett :(

His donut cost me a prelim final last week, and my opponent having Ablett captain this week has cost me my only Grand Final :thumbsd:
