what du think of pagan now???

ayres is a good leader of men is he not?? meant to inspire his troops? but i think ud have to say that coming up against a proven match winning coach like pagan he still has the edge ...

c'mon mate ... at least for all us carlton supporters sake give him a bit of credit!!! Im sure u are as stoked as i am about the win!!!

Ayres is the Kevin Keegan of AFL coaching - all he has is motivation and the feel good factor with the players - but that can only get you so far. As far as his gameplan and matchups go he's woefully inadequate.

Pagan was always going to pull his pants down tactics wise, but having said that, if we'd have converted our outright dominance in the first quarter into goals, the game probably would have turned out very differently.

look i still think he is over rated. If adelaide kicked straight, you can not deny that the result whould have been very different. I do though think it was a great effort to come back from the dead. So well done baggers.

What i found interesting was that the players that played under bradley were the ones that stood up. Cmpo was teriffic, lance was invaluable, and fev's 7 goals went to some way in helping us win the game. Now all they have to do is remember what bradley said, and we'd be set for life.

i'm more stoked, well i can't say that because there are different degrees of stokeness, but i'd say i'm glad for the boys sake. Again it was poor kicking on the part of adelaide that actually lost them the game. But we showed the correct attitude in coming back.

As far as credit to pagan, i'll give him one move, much better then the one he made last week with fev. This move was lance to do the ruck work at stoppages. The single most reason for our getting back into the game. But that is as far as i'm going, cause we didn't win, adelaide lost. Don't bag me for this comment, cause its true.

adelaide didnt lose the game. we were 25 points down at 3 quarter time. we won it from there

i do agree with that, but dop you agree that adelaide kept us in the game?? Do you agree that had adelaide not kicked so poorly, that the result would have been very different. If you read my post i did say that the boys were teriffic in coming back from the dead, credit where credit is due, but adelaide were very poor in their kicking at goal, and that's what kept us in the game. According to the game that i saw, adelaide should have been close the 60 points up in the first tem, they weren't.

if you can argue that after these statistics then you are a well never mind.

Adelaide had 11 shots at goal compared to our 2. Adelaide missed easy shots, all gettable. Sghould have been close to 60 pts up at qtr time........... game over.

In the second we kicked 4-3, and kept adelaide to 1 goal....... great effort.

after half time adelaide came out and kicked 4-7, and kept us to two goals 1 behind. it was a fantastic effort for the baggers to kick 7-2 in the finall term, but on this evidence if you cant see that adelaide kick themselves out of the game, well then you are a .......... well never mind.

If you cant admit that we were extreamly lucky to win that game, but at the same time it was a great win, then you are,........ well i was going to say half the man i thought you were, but that imposible cause that would make you non existant, insignificant................. oh you are exactly that..................insignificant.

Those are the insults. They will get you nowhere with me. I have an open mind when it comes to Carlton - I dont think Pagans plan is crash hot, but do you see me complaining and bitching about him? NO. I trust what he does. I dont need to be like a Richmond supporter (like you) and constantly whine and ask the question, what if we didnt have pagan, what would brittain have done in 2003?

Get with the times Godsmack. Instead of celebrating an exciting victory, you tone down the mood and whinge about how Adelaide lost the game and lost it because of innacurate kicking and Carlton wouldnt have won if they kicked straight. Get over it, a win is a win in anyones book.

3. Enjoy the win for a while
4. Stop bagging out our own coach when hes doing a perfectly fine job
5. Stop referring to the past. The times of Bradley are over

This is Carlton 2004, not Brittains 2002 Wooden Spooners or Parkins 1995 Premiership side. This club doesnt have Sticks, Bradley, SOS or Diesel playing for it or Barassi coaching it, but it is the club that I love.

Godsmack is right, key indicators point to an Adelaide win, but we won.

The issue is how they delivered the ball in forward 50, and how they got ahead of themselves running into goal. We made the most of our opportunities and made them pay as a result. But that was because the door was left open.

The thing that shat me was that Ayres didn't give us any credit when, despite what I just said, we did play a part in the end result. He deserves a few whacks from his former club.

if you have an opinion you should voice it. If you find faults with pagans plan, well state them like i have, don't sit on the fence, cause you could get a splinter, where you don't want to have one.

We can't rely on the opposition to leave the door open for us to get back in the game every time. This time they did, and i'll take the win, but i wont fool myself, by pretending that we weren't lucky to have come away with the 4 pts.
