Where's Lennon?

I counted 8 games across his career with a very large amount where he layed 1 solitary tackle, playing around teh ball this isn't anywhere near the output of a an elite player.
Hang on so now its not just about zero tackles its about 1 tackle? I understand he needs to get this higher, but 8 games out what 160 odd? You're going to hang him for these 8 games? This is just outlier points imo and seems a bit petty.

Not really, the outlier is the games where he got 8+ tackles, they nearly all seemed to fall in 2012. His average is low, our average is low, sadly Conca is probably our best tackler. By AFL standards our tackling is a joke, led by Captain no shoulders.

I get that it could be better, but it isn't like its unheard off. Mitchell from the hawks is pretty much the same. I totally agree our tackling game is good enough and I think this game style reflects on our players as well.

Hope he does well today, kid was messed up by the stupid sub rule last year then crueled with illness and injury this year. Reckon the club had him earmarked to play 22+ games this year, today is his 3rd

Like C Ellis, he's as slow as a wet week.

Tackle/goal good at Punt Road end, but otherwise a pretty ordinary day especially that 3 in a row error passage on the Northern side of the ground just outside the 50 again, towards the PRE.

Slow, looks unfit.

Future clouded.

He was absolutely cooked in the last quarter though. Only one VFL game back it was always going to be a problem. He needs a full preseason and to be given a chance next year.

Mate, please. He was cooked all game long. He came off during the 2nd quarter looking like his head was gonna explode. He needed extra time to get back on the ground. I sit behind the interchange.

Granted he's has had a few injuries but he's always had ample time to get his fitness up to scratch. Talented in some respects, but has glaring weaknesses. Slow, lacks endurance, and lacks hardness in the contest.

The latter has nothing to do with fitness. Future clouded.

No doubt his future is clouded, if hes not a lock 22 by this time next year, then hes gone. But given he had glandular fever and missed a fair chunk of the preseason, he hasn't really had a chance to improve his fitness. I don't think he will ever be a hard player though.

Mate, he had glandular fever and then spent all but about 4 or 5 weeks of the season on the sidelines. He's had no time to get his fitness up.

Mate. Please, spare me the excuses. It's laughable, and supports why we are the 36 year joke we are.

He had Glandular fever in December 2015. He played rounds 2 and 3 for us !

You'd have been better off saying he missed a few weeks with an AC.

He's been playing since July 3.

Really feel as though you are comparing necessary fitness to that of a local suburban player.

Glandular fever, surgery on his AC joint, two concussions and an ankle inury

I actually have no problem with us playing Lennon. I'm keen to understand what he's got.

But to suggest he's under done, then either that's an indictment on him for not being fit enough, or it's an indictment on the caching staff for not knowing so.

Which is it ? Sick of the excuses. Which is it ? Lennon or the coaches ? Which ?

Lennon is a pick 12 in the AFL draft, who three years in would rank about 25th in draft class about right now.
Brandon Ellis would be a simliar story. Drafted at 15, would rate about 20-25th in his draft class.
That's damning!
