I think i may've done this thread a year or 2 ago.. but i thought it'd be good to get an updated opinion....

So which Guernsey do you prefer?

The heritage 1990 style predominantly white?

or the current one?

Eddie has done it again, stalled the AFL for 2 years and now has introduced the clash strip you have when you don't have a clash strip. We don't have to wear an abortion strip like Taints or Brisvein, great. Dance AFL puppets, dance. :thumbsu:

Prefer predominantly black strip with black shorts for all home games

Prefer predominantly white strip with white shorts for most away games (against dark coloured teams only)

I prefer the current predominantly black jumper. Looks sharper....

The mostly white strip looks good too, and the club seems to have the perfect solution to the clash jumper situation........Black tops or white tops, doesn't get much simpler.

Speaking of simple, I wonder what Michael Bowers thinks of our white jumpers?

I also like the white one.

Do they sell the white one at the Lexus Center? I will be coming to Melb this week and would like to pick one up.

At present they dont sell the one that the boys wore on saturday but they do have a few heritage round jumpers from a few years ago 2004/2005.

i really like the white strip. Makes watching the games alot easier, especially against the darker colored teams :thumbsu:

haha,my thoughts exactly

i like the current predominantly black jumper too,but have no problem with the whiter one, will it work against the roo's though?
ok because we will make the roos wear their all blue strip like we did in the first game

It doesn't matter what we prefer, we will be forced to go with a predominately white strip for away matches in future. I thought Saturday's strip was pretty good and really stood out nicely against the dark Carlton jumper - and, contrary to what a couple of media idiots said (Lane and Voss I think), we really are moving towards an away strip that avoids clashes. It may be that the black stripes have to be even thinner but IMO that doesn't matter - the traditional B&W stripes are preserved.

In any event, the away strip issue is probably one of the least important strategic issues facing the club. We face much bigger problems: e.g. the uneven draw, too many other teams in Melbourne and how to use our financial strength to gain an on-field advantage. Our Board and Management should be concentrating on these crucial issues rather than the strip nonsense.
