Norwood had tried to join the AFL a few times, or at least enquired about it.
When Port formally applied to join the AFL, the AFL, in their 'infinite wisdom' decided it would be a stronger club if it was a merger between Port and Norwood. I was informed a meeting took place, and no agreement was met. Norwood then took the position of a SANFL backed club which became the Crows. I have even had it suggested to me that a jumper was made (or drawn up) for the occasion.

Happy to vote for your other polls but a Port-Norwood merger sweater... as likely as a Leafs/Habs combination. It makes me want to puke.
