While i maybe wouldnt go quite as far as Oxx, i definitely just do not get the appeal of this "band".

Very ordinary on just about all fronts, especially from what live footage i've seen. A few guitarists whose opinions i respect tell me Jack can play a bit though. But I'll have to take their word for it though as i just cant get through too much of their material before wanting to hear something else rather urgently.

i quite like them, but they are a bit hit or miss... there are alot of songs that don't do anything for me at all...

and i do rate jack as a guitarist not so much his skill but just some of the riffs his written are so simple yet brilliant...

Gave them a crack a few years back as a mate lent me 2 of their cds. I just could not get into them at all. Personally I just found their music drab and especially boring.

White Stripes are probably in my top 5 favourite bands.

Rage was pretty cool, they make wicked film clips generally.

Did anyone make it up to the Sabotours? I had not seen the clip for Hands before.

It features HOT DEAF SCHOOGIRLS. Really hot.

I'm not convinced anything i've heard in the White Stripes deserves to be called drumming dude.

I do think she is possibly the luckiest person to have ever been involved in the music industry in any form, but we've already done that thread...

Agree. I'm a big fan of TWS. Red Blood Cells and Elephant are my favourite albums of theirs. Songs like 'Dead Leaves on the Dirty Ground', 'Hello Operator', 'the Union Forever'.. I think they're great. Haven't listened to Elephant in a while, might give it a play.
