Pretty simple really. Who do you think is the best player from each team? I'll start us off:

Adelaide: Rory Sloane. Probably one of the harder teams to choose a best, but he's been so good for so long.
Brisbane: Lachie Neale. What a pick up.
Carlton: Patrick Cripps.
Collingwood: Brodie Grundy. Best player in the AFL right now.
Essendon: Michael Hurley.
Fremantle: Nat Fyfe.
Geelong: Patrick Dangerfield. Tim Kelly is closing in.
Gold Coast: Jarrod Harbow.
GWS: Stephen Coniglio. Reckon he has surpassed Josh Kelly in the past couple years.
Hawthorn: Tom Mitchell. By the length of the Flemington straight.
Melbourne: Max Gawn. Oliver isn't far behind.
North Melbourne: Shaun Higgins
Port Adelaide: Ollie Wines
Richmond: Dusty. I wanted to choose Rance.
St. Kilda: Jack Steven. So hard to choose. They have some talent no doubt. Want to say Jade Gresham as a 2nd
Sydney: Jake Lloyd. It's 2019 and I no longer consider Franklin their best player.
West Coast: Jeremy McGovern. I reckon he's the most important player in the AFL. Should go down as an all time great when it's all said and done.
Western Bulldogs: Jack Macrae. I also think he's one of the most underrated players in the comp, which I'm completely happy with.

Adelaide: Rory Sloane
Brisbane: Dayne Zorko
Carlton: Patrick Cripps
Collingwood: tie between De Goey and Brodie Grundy
Essendon: Dyson Heppell
Fremantle: Nat Fyfe
Geelong: Danger
Gold Coast: do they have any?? David Swallow
GWS: Josh Kelly. Cameron 2nd
Hawthorn: Tom Mitchell
Melbourne: Clayton Oliver
North Melbourne: Cunnington or Higgins
Port Adelaide: Hoff, although Rockliff is fast approaching
Richmond: Dusty
St. Kilda: Jack Billings
Sydney: Buddy's on the down slope, so I will go with Luke Parker
West Coast: Jeremy McGovern
Western Bulldogs: Bont

Adelaide: B Crouch gun when fit
Brisbane: H Andrews never looses a contest
Carlton: Patrick Cripps no brainer
Collingwood: Pendles still very important to the pies
Essendon: D Smith don’t rate Heppell as highly
Fremantle: Nat Fyfe easily
Geelong: Dangerfield by a margin
Gold Coast: Tricky one Harbrow for me
GWS: Cal Ward underrated gun
Hawthorn: Tom Mitchell easily
Melbourne: Clayton Oliver Gawn to inconsistent
North Melbourne: Higgins class with the ball
Port Adelaide: R gray
Richmond: Dusty needs to pick up form but
St. Kilda: Seb Ross underrated
Sydney: Buddy
West Coast:
Jeremy McGovern easily
Western Bulldogs: Macrae

Too easy to undervalue what the greats add to their team even beyond smarts, temperament and ability to hit a target. And in any case, Jarryd Roughead is playing in 2019 and Tom Mitchell isn't. So along with him and in addition to the aforementioned Pendlebury and Franklin, I'll go with Ablett at Geelong and Hodge at Brisbane.

But I will also take Dylan Shiel and Angus Brayshaw, previously absent in the thread.

Adelaide: Rory Sloane - B Crouch close when fit
Brisbane: Dayne Zorko - Toss up with Neale
Carlton: Patrick Cripps - easily
Collingwood: Brodie Grundy - easily
Essendon: Zach Merrett - hard to pick
Fremantle: Nat Fyfe - easily

Western Bulldogs: Marcus Bontempelli - toss up with Macrae

Few notes while I’m at it:

- GC, North and St Kilda have the worst best player by a long way
- Grundy is head and shoulders above Treloar imo. Pendles in his prime would still be top dog
- Likewise with Gawn and Oliver
- Zorko v Neale is the hardest to split
- Kelly v Coniglio next hardest to split
- Bont v Macrae next hardest to split
- Mitchell, Cripps, Fyfe, Danger are in a league of their own compared to next best on their respective teams
- Buddy is the closest to being overtaken

Harsh on Higgins. He's a better player then Zach Merrett and arguably Zorko. Also is much better then Harbrow and Gresham and shouldn't be bracketed with them.

In your opinion.

I think he’s better than the latter two but would take the former two over him in a heartbeat.

Adelaide: Sloane. Really rate B.Crouch and Laird but Sloane just keeps going
Brisbane: Neale
Carlton: Cripps
Collingwood: Pendlebury
Essendon: Shiel
Fremantle: Fyfe
Geelong: Dangerfield. Kelly if he holds current form for the whole season
Gold Coast: Witts
GWS: Cameron
Hawthorn: Mitchell
Melbourne: Gawn
North Melbourne: Cunnington, Higgins close second
Port Adelaide: Boak on current form.
Richmond: Rance
St. Kilda: Billings
Sydney: Franklin
West Coast: Shuey
Western Bulldogs: Bontempelli

Agree. Yeo isn't even in their top 5. I'd have JMc, Gaff, Hurn, Shuey and possibly even JJK above Yeo.
Also Daniher is nowhere near Essendons best player. He's injury prone since 2017 - he kicked a grand total of 8 goals in 2018.

Not even their best KPP as Hurley has him covered in nearly all aspects and is a much more reliable, better player.

Adelaide: Rory Sloane
Brisbane: Dayne Zorko
Carlton: Patrick Cripps
Collingwood: Brodie Grundy
Essendon: Zac Merrett
Fremantle: Nathan Fyfe
Geelong: Patrick Dangerfield
Gold Coast: Jarrod Witts

North Melbourne: Shaun Higgins
Port Adelaide: Travis Boak
Richmond: Alex Rance
St. Kilda: Seb Ross
Sydney: Lance Franklin
West Coast: Luke Shuey
Western Bulldogs: Marcus Bontempelli

Think Gold Coast, St Kilda and Port’s were the hardest to pick.

Is it the same people saying t.mitchell is hawthorns best player that say he racks up ineffective disposals and doesn't impact game much? I'd hope not.

North have the worst player by a mile?
Think you might’ve forgotten Ben Brown? came 2nd in the Coleman Medal last year, so i assume he goes okay.
