Who Should Collingwood Select With Their Picks In The National Draft?

Who do people think the club should select with the picks that we have available in the upcoming National Draft? I haven't been watching any juniors particularly closely this year, so I'll leave this one to those who know much more than me on the subject (ie. virtually everyone else).

For what it's worth, these are the picks Collingwood currently has available:-

Round 1
Pick 25

Round 2
Pick 44

Round 3
Pick 62

Round 4
Pick 80

Round 5
Pick 98
 
If we keep pick 25, and that's a massive if because it's almost certain we are giving it away for Marty Clarke and another player, I want us to take Waylan Manson, or at least I hope he drops that low.

He is a 195cm key position forward with a massive leap from WA, and because he is so raw, he may drop down the draft order.

We need to draft tall this year IMO, we have drafted small to medium in terms of the national draft over the past few years, I'd like to see almost every pick we have used on the best key position player left in the draft.

I don't know enough about the deepish end of the talent pool to comment on picks after the first round or so, although I know Knightmare and Tradedraft/Dave will give us their options at some point.:)

Well he is definitely one that I would not mind but there is a High Risk with him as he never lived in the City.

Though I am pretty sure Pick 25 will be Traded for Clarke and ?(Mystery Kid)
 
I actually sat behind bucks and neeld at the national champs this year. Peeked over their shoulder at 1 point and saw a printed up email from Hine with a few names on it. i only managed to see a couple of names for vic metro. it had Brandon Ellis - Calder, Sam Frost, and Adam Kennedy - Jets.

Interestingly this week it was touted we'd swap pick 25 to GWS for Clarke and and young prelisted player. Even more interesting was that it was announced last week that GWS pre listed Adam Kennedy. Coincidence - Probably, but at least something to think about.

On the other two i wouldnt mind Frost tall athletic KPP with a huge leap who could give relief in the ruck.

Well that is Interesting but I think Adam Kennnedy is an Underager and not an overager that could come with Pick 25 .

Would Like Sam Frost but Unless we get another 1st Rounder I think he be Long Gone:(
 
We need a forward and ruckmen... and could use a midfielder WHY ARE WE GETTING MARTY CLARKE. his already show his not commited enough
 
Jesse White #1 priority for me . Reason can go forward can go ruck would think an ideal replacement for Leroy (def unknown).

2 Gimme a forward that can dazzle it should be Dids but is he over it ?
3 Looking at the GF our backs 8 out of 10 mids 8 out of 10 forwards well. dids blair just didnt fire when needed gimme a dazzler we need an XXX factor forward that can crumb around Cloke, Dawes (fasalo??) if we had a Rioli Johnson,dare i say it a Milne Geeezus it should be DIDS (im dreaming now Cloke goes for mark it spillss DAICOSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS) get my drift DIDDDS.
Other than that im not sure how far advanced Witts is but a Ruckman (FACT you cannot win a premiership without a top ruckman yep Joles was it in 2010 but wasnt it in 2011 and thats a fact ie see WC Carl we ranked last as Ruck combo (White can kick goals can ruck can be that EXTRA we missed this season) .
If we could find a ruckman that could kick goals and help out Jolly excellent (is Woods this ruckman?? NO )
As you can see my thoughts are simple 1 A ruckman that can help Jolly and 2 a forward that can have the X factor and we win 2012 thats all we are missing.
2 players stand between us and glory i think.

Thats what i was eluding to Dave. Is a 19 y/o and Jets skipper. accumalor of possessions with decent skills - Great kid and temperament (one of the key ingrediants Hine loves) can play off HB or midfield. 1 knock is probably doesnt kick enough goals for a midfielder.

AMAZING to think that the same match committee (apart from Mick Malthouse) that coached the Grand Final side is already considering who to trade from the current list.
Those who seem likely to spill free include midfielder John McCarthy and defender Tyson Goldsack.
Neither can get enough opportunity, so it is only natural they would seek out rival clubs.
Both have talent and potential improvement, but no word on who might emerge.
Irishman Marty Clarke is seen as a done deal to get to Collingwood despite their denials, and the kids are coming through from underneath.
Ruckman Jarrod Witts is a 208cm ruckman who the club has effectively snared for nothing through the NSW scholarship scheme.
He will be an out-and-out gun.
Recruiter Derek Hine says Witts might play senior football next year, while the club loves young ruckman Jonathon Ceglar.
Surely they don't have any salary cap room to get in another mature-ager.

Ripper bloke is Kenners. Did a tagging job on Devon Smith and Lachy Whitfield against Vic Country and had some success. He does not kick enough goals because he does spend a bit of time off half back for the Jets. Haven't seen him for a couple of weeks due to uni holidays but when I last spoke to him he had hadn't spoken to anyone this year. IMO he should join his ex team mate Ben Casley at Blacktown.
