I went with O'Bree, Williams, Shaw and Mullins, although I'm guessing a couple of others will be gone.

Zane Leonard has already been put onto the senior list, so he's not getting delisted, obviously.
 
i went with obree williams lokan benson and fanning. the young ones that have played 4 us have showed signs. these blokes arent gonna take us in teh right direction.

do they need to be out of contract to be "cut" (in which case who's contract is up?), or do you suggest they get paid out?
 
Why does everyone want Lokan delisted? Is it like some sort of trend how a credible poster honestly thinks Lokan isn't up to scratch and then newbies over the past 8months have just followed him?

Lokan creates lots of run off the half back line and it's very valueable. Thats where you start everything, from the backline and he drives it out. He might not be fancy and take the big marks or do little dances around opponents but he does his job.

Mick Malthouse said earlier in the year that the new rucking rules had basically wrecked the way McKee played footy. Wasn't suprised to see him go.
 
Wiilliams and Shackleton. Maybe O'Bree.
And Fanning.

Shackleton to be picked up on rookie list.

Agree. His career is definitely at the crossroads, but he deserves another year because at least he has some legspeed and the right attitude.

Why on earth would we delist King? He's kicked multiple goals on about 4 occasions this year, it's only his second yeah with the club and he is hard at it and has guts. He goes in hard and Has Grunt, Shacklteon will come good, give fanning a go for heavens sake.... Only his first year of senior footy.

Delist Williams, Rhyce Shaw and, Shane Obree, keep the rest, although i must admit I havn'r seen much of Dean Bensons footy so wouldn't know what to call on him. The rest of our youngsters will be our champions of the future, in my opinion, Richards, King, Hall, Shackleton, Mullins, Morrison and C2 and C3 will be the players that step up and carry the club through the latter stages of this decade
They will eventualy form our spine:

FB: Hall
HB: C3
C: King
HF: Morrison
FF: C2
No 1 Ruckman: Richards
Shackleton: Our enforcer..
Mullins: Winger/small forward
 
dont delist obree, we may be able 2 get atleast a dfart pick for him next year or something, and any way someone who gets 38 disposals againts the team that won the premiership is worthy of a spot on our list

we should delist:

Mckee, willo, maybe shack and king but idno :S too hard 2 decide havent seen much of the youngsters 2 know which ones look the goods (if any)
 
i went Williams, Mc gough, lokan and King.
These are the guys i can't see improving our team. Shackleton, Mullins etc i can see becoming long term players.
King and lokan are unlucky.
 
38 touches in any footy is a good effort. But obviously port noticed what i noticed and that is obrees disposal is poor and really how many out of those 38 went away.
 
I said Benson, Obree, Williams, and Lokan, but im starting to think maybe not lokan, instead put shack on the rookie list. We do need to make room for 4 draftees and a PSD, so we need to delist 3 more IMO
 
Lokan is in no way a superstar but he does his job, Just like Presti. No flashy crap and no zim zam, just straight foward running with the ball. He is what a half back flanker should be IMO, i rate him.

Everyone has to relise that he isn't going to be a superstar, but for that, you can't just delist him. It's quite obvious Malthouse rates him because he played every game for us in 2003 (including the grand final) in his first year.

can't really say that i want to see the youngsters delisted. some showed a bit a promise. lokan definatley deserves another year. his last year wasn't that bad
 
Shaw, Shackleton and Benson.

Shaw would go to the Hawks in the PSD and Shackleton to probably Bulldogs or Adelaide.

PS. Whoever said McGough to be delisted must have rocks in their head. 20+ possesion makers don't get delisted. Will get more of a go next year. Lokan as well. Is still young. Don't think O'Bree and Williams are going to be delisted. Just out of form!

Well I'm very much in favour of delisting him, although i realise it won't happen.

I know he ain't gonna be a superstar, but my reckoning is that he's is barely a bottom grade third tier player as it is, and has practically zero scope for improvement.

His left foot is fair. His straight line speed is OK. The two problems with this however, is that firstly, he doesn't get his hands on it and secondly, Presti has better recovery and agility. When he is running with the pill, his disposal is very erratic.

He's done nothing to prove to me within entering his fifth year of the senior system, that he's capable of getting his hands on the ball more than 7 times per game. Ben Kinnear beats him in every statistical area, last year, and over the course of their respective careers. If that ain't saying something, I dunno what is.

If I were a half decent midfielder or half-forward and I came up against Maddee, I'd be laughing! If I were a coach and had to find a match up for him as a marking forward, I'd be able to do it with the worst defence in the competition.

Lokan is too short, lacks agility, has questionable skills especially under pressure, is easily physically imtimidated, reads the play as a defender poorly and offers nothing by way of scope for improvement. I liken him to Andrew Dimattina, only he can't find the footy!

We pay Judkins a lot of money, to identify talent. If he can unearth someone again like Julian Rowe with a late pick, why the hell wouldn't we want to do it?? Take your pick, a Julian Rowe, or a Maddee Lokan. C'Mon!!

Couldn't agree more. Not a lot of credability in peoples opinions here. Obree will not be delisted, Williams will not be delisted, Lokan will not be delisted. For ********s sake we need these guys for depth!!!We have done the hard yards this year to build depth so what do we do , delist 2 mid filders in their mid 20's who have both payed over a hundred games and a 2 year 40 game half back flanker...get real folks, malty would laugh if he read this.

Kinnear - Mullins - Mckee - Crow - Nixon - gonners more to follow!!Shacks will be lucky to hold on.
