IMO best place apart from behind the goals (but not to close to the cheer squad - not because they are freaks, but because your not allowed to bring your beer in!) is on the wing at ground level. you really get a sense of how big the G is from that angle.

means sitting with home crowd.. but they are less ferral the closer you get to the wing... and if your travelling from perth, its a much more rewarding "football experience".

just be careful not to rip into their players to hard, in case we loose it in the third quarter, cause they will give it back with interest! (as they probably should)

I have sat amongst the Magpie masses a few times Imperial, and I've never had any issues - I don't mind the banter. The biggest argument I've ever been in at the football was when we thought it would be nice to sit near the vic cheersquad - they didn't appreciate us at all (apparently, you are only allowed to cheer when instructed... ).

Have never bought a ticket to the MCG or Telstra Dome pre-game, I just get one at the gate. I hope you have an awesome time. We went to the Pies away game last year - we couldn't do a thing right in front of goals... :o
Are you serious? That's really lame.
I'll be at this game but will keep fingers crossed I'm in with the tattooed and toothless if this is true....

Afaik the cheersquad aren't happy if your trying to sit in the cheersquad if your not apart of it, but just tell you it's designated seating for the cheersquad and ask you to leave, I haven't seen much worse.

So if you don't sit in the cheersquad when your not in it then you'll be fine, so its all good if you sit around the cheersquad though!

Isn't there a seat number on your ticket when you buy one???? I'll sit in whatever seat my bit of paper tells me thanks!

Thats correct if you got reserved seating, but the cheersquad sit in the general admission area. Theres signs behind the seats for the designated cheersquad area or something.

I trust the Freo supporters that went had nothing to complain about RE crowd behaviour?

I had no troubles when leaving the ground (Carpark) But my friend from Perth said she copped a fair bit.

But yeah the crowd was pretty well behaved from what I saw.
