Just want to know peoples thoughts on who has stepped up this year and who has let themselves down

STEPPED UP
Fiora - thought he was gone but had good year
Montagna - just keeps getting better
Kosi/ X.Clarke - great to get a full year
S.Fisher - arguable our best defender
Gilbert - a real find, waht a tackler
Hayes - great year after knee


GONE BACKWARDS
McGuire - injury is the reason
Thompson - seems gone, will retire
Milne - doesnt kick enough goals
Gram - after last year been dissapointing for mind
Voss- in and out of side, doesnt look good.
Watts/Brooks - if they were going so well at CAsey should of got a game
Sweeney - our great hope, our great flop

Players i left out because of injury...Hammill, Gardiner, Goddard (was starring)

GONE BACKWARDS
Milne - doesnt kick enough goals

Ummm...Milne has actually kicked more goals (31) in 21 games this year then he did (29) in 22 games last year.

But even so, he is playing a totally different role this year under the new coach and gameplan. 30 goals is a good return with the lack of time he has spent under the feet of the forwards.

In my opinion, a better overall player than he was at the end of 2006. And much fitter.
 
Taking into account the quality and quantity of games. VFL performance acknowledged. No first-year Saints. BJ, Hamill, Hayes, Watts also not counted.
