The band that had the greatest rythym section in the world (Moon and Entwhistle). I'll still go but it won't be the same without the Ox (RIP).

Surprised they'd play again after Entwistle's passing. Who's playing bass now?

I saw them about 7-8 years ago when they were doing a Quadrophenia revival thing. Ringo's kid was the drummer. Wasn't a bad show, even though Townshend pretty much did nothing.

Ringo jnr is still drumming, and he's been doing it for a while I belive. I think the bassist is just a hired hand now.

Feedback from their last lot of US shows was pretty positive. They also recently released a new compilation CD with 2 new tracks on it (first in 20 years) and are hinting towards a brand new CD by years end.

Kinda seems odd to be having such a rush of activity following the passing of (yet another) major member. But I guess when you make a living as musicians for your whole life.. what else are you gonna do?

Good luck to 'em I guess. And it's probably worth the price of admission to see Townshend and Daltrey in action anyway.

I saw them do Quadrophenia as well in 1996 in Hyde Park. Despite all the extra musicians and stuff still had some killer moments (Entwistle's bass solo on 5.15 needless to say amazing), so I think it should still rock. If any of you guys have seen the DVD from the Albert Hall a couple of years ago where they revert to just the main 3 plus Zak and Rabbit - best thing they've done since Moon died.

Feel a tinge of pity for the bass player, filling impossible shoes and I'll be going with 2 very knowledgeable bass players and Entwistle freaks. Anyway should be great!
