Theres been so much talk, what do you think??
Who's better

The 1992 American team. The only "Dream Team"

The 2008 American team. The redeem team

The 2012 American team.

For me its clear cut, 92 all the way. 11 HOFers perfect mix of inside and outside players and big and small players. 08 ahead 12, as they have a more balanced team.

I would rate the 1996 team above all but 92.

Barkley
Hardaway
Hill
Olajuwon
Malone
Miller
Shaq
Payton
Pippen
Richmond
Robinson
Stockton

Best group of big men ever combined on a team that's for sure.

For some raisins, I thought Zeke was in the '96 team... Must've been '94 World Championships or someshit.

I know he had a bit to do with 96 because he was playing for Atlanta at the time(or had just ended up there) and gave some money to the Congo team, my memory isn't great but like you I remember him having something to do with 96.

I wouldn't have a clue about those intricacies of the late '90s. However, after I watched the Dream Team doco, I went to see who was in each Olympic or World Championship team for USA and I saw Zeke's name in one of those teams. Just researched it anyway and he was apart of the '94 World Championship team, but was replaced by Kevin Johnson as Zeke had an achilles injury...

The '92 team - and it's not that close. .

I think if the '12 team had Dwight, Rose and either Wade or Bynum, then maybe there's a discussion to be had. But otherwise 92>>>96>12.

Yeah, I'd back the '96 team to beat the 2012 team as well. With just one big, the 2012 would have been dominated on the inside and with the knowledge that Olajuwon, Shaq and Robinson had their back the '96 wing players could afford to play tight on the perimeter. Get Chandler in foul trouble (which would happen) and you end up with inside matchups between the likes of Shaq and LeBron / Melo.

Watching the relative ease with which the Gasol brothers scored against the interior of the 2012 team makes me think that they'd get monstered inside the by '92 and '96 teams.
