The hearld sun reported today that Collingwood wanted to trade pick 11 and 27 to West coast for pick 6. This got me thinking

1 of 2 possibilities

1. This is most likely. Derek Hines has heard along the great vine that someone he is very keen on is going to likly be taken by one of the clubs with pick 7, or 9. With 8 alread used by north for father and son pick.

2. We have something sneaky planned. We r planning to ontrade 6 if we get it for something else

Seems like you've already worked it out.

Perhaps GWS know this and therefore want that pick 27 so we can't on trade it, to get pick 6??

Well word on the street is we will only use 3 picks in the draft, 2 live and one Dwyer upgrade...

Therefore what would you rather, 6 and 10 or 10 and 11?

Interesting looks certain we are ether trading pick 27 with shaw for adams and 35 or trading pick 11 + 27 for 6

Highly doubt that, we have about 8 list spots to fill.

If we bring in White Armstong Adams plus dywer that's already four, and mooney/martin are real chances of getting promotions as well. Karnezis is also still a possibility so we may end up only using 2-3 draft picks

Much of a muchness really.
Agreed. I guess the teams would discuss who they where looking at and come to an "arrangement" on who to pass on. Most think we will go for Dominic Sheed and I guess we would hope Collingwood would pass him through.

What senior spots have gone: Jolly, Johnson, Krakouer, Didak, Thomas, Shaw - 6 spots. Am I missing someone? Our senior list at the minute is 38 but that includes Shaw, Gault, 5 elevated category A rookies, and 1 category B, plus Yagmoor as the 1 rookie.

If we remove from the senior list the elevated rookies for the moment (Hudson, Oxley, Martin, Dwyer, Frost, and Mooney [cat b] plus Shaw and Gault that leaves 30 senior spots.

The maximum senior list size is 40, the maximum category a rookie size is 4 and category b is 3.

I presume we bring in Adams, 6, 11, White, Armstrong, someone else and upgrade Dwyer, Martin and Oxley. That brings the senior list up to 39, which leaves 5 spots on the category A rookie list and a senior elevation up for grabs before round 1. I suspect Hudson, Frost, Yagmoor, Gault + ? round out the cat A rookie list and Mooney sits in category B.

We aren't desperate for pick 6, WC are the ones who tabled the deal, 6 of one and half a dozen of the other IMO.

Jordan Russell. Richmond and Hartley off the rookie list. Not sure if we are done culling yet either. Clarke and yagmoor (on the rookie) would be the luckiest players to stick around. Gault has got to go from our list altogether.
So 8 list spots to fill when Shaw is gone but 7 with Adams coming in.

Just to add, I think we will put hudson back on main list as insurance like we did this year.

Dwyer will be promoted and surely frost is. Not fully sure on k mart but do like him. Then there is the road runner as we gave him a new 2 year deal, I believe.

I am sorry but if aish (spelling) drops to us, I will be so shocked.

I can't make a big bet as grundy did drop to us last year and I thought that was no chance

Surely we'd never agree on those terms.
Maybe your recruiters are really keen on a guy like Ben Lennon and reckon he will be taken at 7 or 9?

Or perhaps they have got wind of say GC pulling a rabbit out of the hat and going with another WA boy in Sheed, leaving a Scharenberg or a Kelly to slip to 6.
