1. totally in david moffet's corner for the 14 team comp, including getting rid of souths in that totally "fair" criteria set up, then backing the NRL all the way during souths' stuggles in court, then changing to being on the souths bandwagon when they return (same for fatty vautin too)
2. Totally backing the Northern Eagles merge, as well as playing a majority of games at north power. only started to change his tune this year when he realised it was inevitable that the northern eagles would dissolve as a merged entity
3. Formerly broadcasting on 2UE with John Gibbs, then critisising him to high heaven when Gibbs changed stations to 2GB, saying we was a disloyal scumbag for deserting 2UE and league would be better off without him. Then changing to 2GB himself, taking Gibbs' spot, Gibbs forced back to 2UE
4. Being the most ardent critic of RU and AFL, making such idiotic remarks why league is better like "oh, union cant takle, AFL is just aerial ping pong" please.... intelligent critisism of codes i can take, but i dont like such baseless critisism as this (im not a union fan, but id at least like to hear valid reasons whe he thinks league is better, i know i have my own, and at least mine are valid). But then, he goes and calls some swans games and some union games, pretending now that he is actually a fan of all codes.. PLEASE!! i actually listened to one of his union calls, or at least part of it. he didnt have a clue about the rules, always had to ask david campese about penalties, it would have to be the worst sports broadcast ive ever heard
5. When talkback callers ring in opposing something he says, he just cuts them off when he is backed into a corner. i wish he'd hear some people out sometimes, he might escape from that insulated bubble that is his world.
if i actually continued to listen to ray hadley these days im sure id have by now many more reasons. i just find the games are called on the ABC a lot better, and also i reckon the game comes across as more exciting when listening to the 2BL coverage over the 2GB coverage. i'd encourage all league fans to at least try listening to the ABC's call of a game, i think you'll quite like it.
