Hey everybody am i the only one thinking that it's stupid putting Collingwood v Essendon on sunday? It would be better to have it on a Friday night instead of North Melbourne vs Carlton

Yeah hate Sunday games myself, pretty sure it has to do with TV exposure and each team having x amount of prime time slots.

They could of picked another team for our Sunday games I agree any of : Nth Melb, Melb, Port, Adel, Freo I would prefer then have our big games on the Sunday.

Well, when you think about it, it is a good spot for a Sunday arvo game. I mean, we have to come back from Gold Coast and we have a 7 1/2 day break to let our team recover for the Essendon match. Then the week after that we get a 6 day break and a trip to Aami Stadium to play P.A. If the game was played on a friday night we would get 2 6 day breaks in a row along with the two trips.

I never really thought of it that way,i guess in a way it's good to have it on Sunday gives us more of a rest

Geez we can't have every Friday night match in a season, and it would involve coming off a 6 day break after travelling, no thank you.

Anyway personally I think Sundays arvos are one of the better timeslots

wow really another crap friday night game
disappoint
What do you mean crap?

4th vs 10th isn't as bad as some of the bullshit we have had to put up with, although I've watched about 2 games all year on 7 myself due to them showing next to no games live.:thumbsd:

I actually give North a chance of an upset on Friday Night, Carlton don't play Etihad well at all.

As for our game on Sunday, well I'd prefer it to a night game this time of year, it's so ****ing cold outside that a day game on any day is better at the moment IMO.

Plus, this may well be our last day game before the Grand Final, with the rest of our Home and Away games at night, and both of our finals likely to be night games also, so sit back and soak some sun up.;)

Whats with all the Melbourne friday night games?!?!?! God they are so shit to watch...

I really hope our r24 game against Geelong is a Saturday day game, although it would likely be a Friday night seeing as Geelong has got their r23 game on a Saturday day against the Swans at Skilled and we have a Friday night against Freo at Patterson's. As well as the fact that both sides will definately be playing finals. It would be either that game as a Friday night, or the StKilda v Carlton match. Will be interesting to see how the games are slotted for that round though.

I liked the Sunday at 1:10pm game a few weeks ago. That is a much better time if it has to be a Sunday game. The 2:10pm Game is historic, the AFL are trying the twilight game why not look at a Midday Game start at 12:30 or so.

After the Port game we play St.Kilda on Friday night, so therefore have 2 x 6 day breaks for the Port & St.Kilda games.

Yep! I've had more than enough of freezing my kn***ers off at the G this time of year. Besides, I absolutely love the Sunday (and Saturday) pm slots.
