Why we couldn't beat Sydney?

Watching the Melbourne /Sh!tney game and it appalls me that we could smash that pathetic lame footy team

I HATE EFFING MOFO SYDNEY SWANS!

Look how PATHETIC they are and we let them smash us.

I mean what goes on in the players heads? No wonder some of us supporters spout negativity at every turn when you see that absolute rubbish we play against mediocre filth teams, we practically invite them into the 8 and let them play into form : Hawthorn, North, Shitney and heck even the filthy scum yopt-fooya mutt Infidels Essenscum, who if we don't smash I dunno what I'll do!!!! @#$%$%! yet we come out and beat premiership contenders!

Sydney played really well against us and we were really down on form and confidence.

Also, I think the Etihadz suit Sydney's game style a lot more.

Had we played them on the MCG, the result would have been different. might not have won, but different.

It always amazes me when supporters say 'why couldn't we beat rabble team a, or mediocre team b, and team c that was down on form etc...' as though it's as simple as that.

Think about it - add up those games you just mentioned.

If we'd won all those, we'd be sitting 2nd/3rd on the ladder right now, and half a game from top position.

Is that where you really expect us to be sitting right now?

Note I said expect, not hope.

Well, i think that our running game suits larger grounds such as the G. Everyone is going to say yea but etihad is more suited to the running fast games, but if there is less space on a ground the flood destroys us. We like to run, and thus into space. we cannot do this at etihad as teams flood and push back taking up space for us to run into on the smaller grounds

We proved last year and the Dees today that if you get in front of them they have no plan B, they play a shutdown style, rugby type game that is not conjusive to kicking a big score.

My hatred of Sydney knows no bounds! The last game I ever saw at the hallowed Optus Oval was Carlton Sydney. We were up by 3 goals at 3/4 time and we let Barry Hall *******e us and then they stupid 'chipping' game kill us! Then they win a flag with the worst style of footy know in the modern game! That 'chipping' rubbish that we try to copy and get goals kicked against us!

They are a dying club and should be bludgeoned out of their misery! Richmond rolled them, and we let them play into form and stuff up our campaign, and look how pathetic they were today!!

It makes me wonder, do we really have crap skills, or are we just mentally not strong enough or our coach isn't so great? The boys should look upon Sydney today and correct the error with EXTREME PREJUDICE!!! Lets hope they come out punching and get their skills and defensive pressure happening the last month of the season so they can roll into season 2011 as a FORCE TO BE RECKONED WITH!!!

Sydney is very much my second side.

Why? Firstly because I have lived here a long time (virtually the Swans' entire tenure in fact) and secondly because their success (or competitiveness at least) is vital to the growth of the game at all levels in Sydney.

If you don't live in a non-Australian Football state I guess you wouldn't understand my views. (Bear in mind I grew up in a footy state, so I have seem both sides of the coin).

Nor does the "Team A defeated Team B, Team B defeated Team C therefore Team A must defeat Team C" principle apply.

It's results like these and the form reversals of Hawthorn, Adelaide and Richmond not to mention the ones in the other direction, Brisbane, Port, Freo and Us, that prove how important mental attitude and particularly confidence are in our game.

The only teams that stay up for an entire season are those who are playing with a settled team and on a confidence that has been built over previous seasons.

If we are still playing inconsistent footy in 2 years, then I will complain about the team, coaches etc ... but not before.
