Anyone else done this to install the Homebrew Channel on the Wii?

Any tips or advise?

i've done it to my wii and i used this guide and had no problems. you need to have your wii online tho.

also, when you're download and burning wii games use dvd-r as any other dvds are a bit dogey (either dont work or take a while to load)

also, it's a bit scary doing the whole process with the small possibility of bricking your wii, but if you folow that guide exactly then you should be ok.

sorry to rehash this thread, performed the bannerbomb hack yesterday, worked beautifully

installed the homebrew channel as well well as the usb loader gx. have all my games running off a usb hard drive. also installed the nes and snes emulators too, which is sweet

Anyone else have their Wii chipped?

Not worth it because Wiis suck but if that's all you can afford then it's all good.

Cost me around $80 a year ago to do it.

I got mine softmodded not chipped. Works just as well but doesn't void you warranty

whats softmodded ...? l found a place who do chips there 120 for Budget and 155 for the middle range one.whats the homebrew all about is it all the old school games.....?

Softmods when theres no chip installed and you just hack it via the system with software.
