Do you think he will get Traded to a better Team?

Plus I Haven't Heard about him Later?

Re: Bogut Traded?

you haven't been listening then. He was in the headlines about 2 days ago for fouling someone with 0.8 seconds left when it was a tied game.

I hope he gets traded.

Re: Bogut Traded?

be very hard for Milwaukee to cut short the bogut era, without having a new star to hang their hopes on.

that said, he looks like he'll be a nice complementary player for a long time. Just not a star. might be interesting around extension time though.

Milwaukee is a dead franchise - everybody knows it really. If he is going to be a 'role player' for some team, might as well be with players who will compliment him and he will compliment.

If the Bucks tank further and fluke the lottery, grab Oden, then he should be traded.

I think you guys are being harsh. He never gets plays called for him. Give him some time. I'd love to see him in a trianagle offence like LA.

he wouldn't get plays called for him in a triple post offense either. He might do well, as he can pass it from either high or low, but it is still a guard oriented offensive system.

Yeah, not with Kobe and Odom there but you would get heaps out of him with the passing, rebounding and ther is no doubt, he can finish, plus he use to have a deep jump shot. The Bucks don't seem to utilise it that much because the whole friggin team are jump shooters.

I think he would be perfect type of player for the Princeton offence. A big man who is comfortable at the elbow, with good court vision and great passing ability. Add to that his good range on a jumper and he would be the sort of big man that would fit the Princeton offence like a glove.

He would be a perfect fit for a Kings team of yesteryears.

I dont like Bogut that much, I think he is some what disrespectfull and a bit of a tool however he is an aussie so I feel inclined to stick up for him slightly.

Same height and weight as Dirk and not to disimiliur to Dirk in his early years, lets compare them both in there 2nd season

Dirk
G GS MPG FG% 3p% FT% OFF DEF RPG APG SPG BPG TO PF PPG
82 81 35.8 .461 .379 .830 1.2 5.2 6.5 2.5 0.8 0.8 1.72 3.10 17.5

Bogut
G GS MPG FG% 3p% FT% OFF DEF RPG APG SPG BPG TO PF PPG
57 57 33.8 .544 .250 .574 2.5 6.2 8.7 2.9 0.8 0.5 2.26 3.30 12.2

Now I am not getting ahead of my self but apart from Dirk putting 5 more points in a game there stats pretty similiur, if anything Bogut compare favourbly to Dirk. I am not saying Andrew will be a hall of famers or he will be a top 5 big man in the league but 1 must admit his stats to date have been fairly impressive. People have to remember that Dirk went to a pathetic team where the offence was played for him even in his 2nd season. Im sure that if Bogut had 5 more shots a game he would score another 4 or 5 points which would have his numbers looking very very tidy, Dirk would have thrown up 16-17 shots a game in his 2nd year Bogut would be luck to throw up 12.

The kid is 22, goive him a little time, as Dirk had. Im sure by the time he is 24 he will be a 20p-10r-4a-2b a game player.

cheers

For his sake I'd like to see him get traded but they'll probably try a new coach before they consider moving him.

Will be interesting to see what happens if the Bucks get lucky in the lottery.

oh FFS.

He has as much in common with Dirk as I do.

Listen you twit, you obviously never watched or know very little of Dirk in his infant NBA years, the guy was nothing more than a role player who was fed the ball time and time again, his mid to long jumper was nothing more than sufficent and his low post game was bullied on by bigger stronger opponets, he struggle to get to the boards and very rarely blocked a shot. In saying that his potential was enormnous and the fact that he has continued to develop is a credit to him self and the Dallas organisation.

The comparisons are there because A: they are both International picks B: Both same height ans weight C: Both carry the weight of expectation of an early draft pick (andrew more so yes) D: They are WHITE and E: They have both showed a heap of potential.

I dont think Bogut will be a Dirk nor do I care if he does or doesnt however the comparisons are valid.

Bucks need to act soon and fire Stotts

After a team with an 18-game losing streak humiliated the Milwaukee Bucks in their own pathetic version of the Boston massacre Wednesday night to consign themselves to 3-19 since Jan. 3, I kept waiting Thursday for the news conference that never came.

You know, the one where the Bucks would take advantage of the all-star break to announce that Terry Stotts had been fired and would be replaced by Larry Krystkowiak or one of the other assistants on an interim basis for the rest of the season.

But the call never came, which might lead a reasonable person to wonder:

What exactly are the Bucks waiting on here?

My guess is that Stotts, a very good man who is only marginally at fault for the absolute wreck the Bucks have become, remains in limbo because he was hired by the owner and not by the general manager.

Andrew Bogut would like to have a greater role on offense, but his poor play on defense has hampered the Bucks during their recent slide.

It's likely hard for Herb Kohl to make the call on his guy, especially after he forced Larry Harris to take the bullet on his behalf after the whole Terry Porter fiasco.

But someone from this organization needs to take a stand and send an encouraging message to the fans who have stood by the Bucks, because if you check the attendance figures, the people are still behind this team. But they won't be for long if Kohl or Harris does not step forward soon and provide a clear mission statement on the Bucks' direction.

It's reasonably clear that Stotts will eventually become the fall guy. He's made some bad moves during the injury-plagued slump, but he has also become the victim of an awful defense for which he and Harris must share the blame. Stotts has had players like Earl Boykins out of position at critical times, but Harris has also given him Andrew Bogut and Charlie Villanueva, who, unlike astute Harris acquisition Ruben Patterson, do not play a lick of interior defense.

And if Stotts goes, it will be because Bogut has become the battleground. Stotts apparently does not believe in Bogut as much as the GM, and guess who wins that tussle?

Again, Bogut is unhappy. After the Bucks were eliminated by Detroit in the first round of the playoffs last season, Bogut sounded off to our Charles Gardner about his dissatisfaction with his play and the way he was being used in the offense. Bogut's comments essentially forced the organization to trade Jamaal Magloire and move Bogut to center.

And recently, CBS Sportsline.com quoted Bogut as saying, "One day I'd like to be the focal point. It's not going to happen here with a guard-oriented team. Right now I'm playing a role and doing it as hard as I can. I don't mind playing a role if I have to. I definitely would like to be a focal point, whether it's next year or the year after or in five years."

Before the injuries, Bogut was getting about as many offensive touches as he did as a rookie. Very few plays were being run for him, reflecting the coaches' lack of trust in Bogut. But that street runs both ways. If Bogut wants to be the man on offense, he must get assertive on defense and learn how to block shots and challenge the slashers who are killing this team.

So, Mr. Owner and Mr. GM, tell us what you plan for your frustrated No. 1 pick. Does he stay or go? And let us know about the coach. And do it quick. Time's a-wasting.

That's all well and good, but they are completely different players. Same height and weight. Ell owe ell.

Not a bad concept I guess, although I would have used the likes of Brad Miller, Eddy Curry, Chris Kaman et al, perhaps? Or even, how Marvin Williams, his competition for #1 at the time, is faring.

Anyway, I'm pretty satisfied with the curve that the Gut is taking, he will probably end up as a 16-18ppg, 10rpg player and extremely efficient at that. Clearly better than anything we've had in the NBA thus far, and I remain extremely grateful to the guy for in putting the work he has to get to where he is now. It still frustrates me a bit when people take our sole Australian representative at the highest level for granted.

Who the ******** are you calling twit?

International? Well Bogut did 4 years at a US college, Dirk was drafted out of the German Leagues. That is hardly a similarity.

Height and weight? Meh. Considering games and other differing physical attributes, that is almost irrelevant.

White? Then why not compare him David Lee?

Heap of potential? So does everyone in the top 15 of evry draft

Dirk and Bogut have rediculously dissimilar games.

And I have been watching Dirk since the moment he stepped on court.

He was incredibly raw and stayed on the peirmeter shooting long jumpers. Basically the exact opposite of Bogut. IN fact, Dirk still does play like this, only he is now supreme at it.

Bogut is a plodding yet fundamentally sound center.

Dirk is an all court player who does things Bogut can only have wet dreams about.

Your post makes no sense.

My post certanly does make sense, re read it and post again. Dirk was far from a star after his first 2 seasons, was roar, skinny, slow and was just a there abouts shooter, had no inside game and couldnt rebound to save him self. He was in a pathetic side that probably enhansed his development because he was forced to shoot and take on more responsibility.

Boguts is a flimsy roar talented tall who can pass and shoot ok when on song, he cant play D but can rebound and has the ability to go to the basket.

What im saying is that after 2 NBA seasons neither Dirk or Bogut will/has/was talked about as being a super star. Dirk was a talented skinny international with alot fo work to do, Bogut is a talented roar big who has alot of work to do.

Making sense simpleton?

Except they have never been and never will be similar type of player. Just because they are white, international 7 footers, it doesn't make the comparison valid at all.

These 2 are completely different types of players and have always been. Before getting drafted Dirk was playing as a SF in Germany and was getting comparisons with Kukoc in terms of his overall versatility and skill level. Everyone was labeling him as the "Toni Kukoc with more talent".

OTOH, Bogut has always and will always be seen as a classic center and the comparisons have always been as a cross between Vlade Divac and Brad Miller. If you want to compare Bogut to anyone, compare him to those 2 players because in terms of playing style, position and basketball talent, they are very similar.

Comparing him to Dirk is just so far fetched its not funny. They games have always been and will always be very different.
