Will I still be able to use USB2 devices on USB 1?

I will dare say yes, but not as fast as having USB 2.0 to 2.0

Saying that, I always thought USB 1.0 was fast enough but wadda you know?

It will work but not at the same speed.
Recently purchased a CD burner which was supposed to burn at 52x but because it was working on a USB1 port it could only burn at 4x. Once we upgraded to USB2 it worked perfectly

If you've gone to that expense already, you really should pay a little bit more and buy a USB 2 card .

working in a tech centre check specifications of hardware you buy many items need the usb 2 to achieve maximum results or sometimes to work at all.

this is especially true with external cd burners

and printer speed and quality
