He's only done one thing wrong at this stage, it's just the ignorant who have just found out about it are now sticking the boots in.
We'll see if he's guilty first, but it's fairly irrelevant. He wont go to jail and if we wanted to flick him, we could have done so at the end of last year.

He's very vulnerable. Limited players with off field incidens don't last long. If he doesn't produce big time this uyear he will be one of the delistings for the next round of draftees. Every year 4 to 6 have to go. If Zane fires at Willi and we want to use 4 picks dane will be under the pump big time.
The "incident" will have no bearing on whether he stays or goes, although he's obviously under notice.
He will get the flick (if he gets the flick) for more basic reasons. He aint good enough. He's just the type of player we are filtering out, not tall, not quick, not especially offensive, not especially defensive. He's a good ordinary fatassed wombat, and his days are numbered unless he can find a role to play and play it well.

What a long-running case. Do we want to list other AFL possible misdemeanours that didn't last so long or rise so high a head? How does it rank, if at all; leave that to the courts.

If not, then why not wait this year to see how a utility that can play forward (and kick 2 goals on Brisbane first up), play attacking half back (and get more possessions than Shaw/McGough etc there), or play back pocket and midfield for Willi (still to be explored for seniors).
When he started he was streets ahead of Maxwell. Things change. By season's end could be a great utility or a great trade for someone who needs an allrounder. Don't need discipline stuff now (it was 03 after all) but a chance to prove what future he is capable of.
