Not sure about that jimmae but even so the umps are still wasting time making sure they know who the rucks are thus giving more time for other players to get around the next contest .
Or set up elsewhere its a complete waste of time and creates umpire confusion .

Not sure what youve been watching jimmae players are told to raise their hañd to signify they are the competing ruck umpires are looking for that and dont bounce until they are clear who the rucks are .
You here umpires miked up calling players names out before a bounce down around the ground if 1 or both of the genuine rucks are not in the contest .
Theres a lot of time wasted when the game should be in play its a useless rule .

Read the rule change again: that's been removed from the requirements unless an umpire is unsure who the rucks are, at which point they will ask for rucks to nominate.
